Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Fourteen of Year Seven of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you reported to Mad-Eye Moody, and he tasked you with finding a way to restore the shopkeepers’ memories. You decided to ask Penny for help, but unfortunately, she couldn’t help you. Having no other options, you turned to Professor Snape. Thankfully, he was willing to brew the counter-serum. While waiting for that, you demonstrated some wandless magic to Ben. Having no patience to sit idly and wait for the counter-serum to be ready, he decided to go after Zenith Xeep and get some answers. You agreed to help him, and went to the Leaky Cauldron to meet with Rita Skeeter and ask her about Zenith’s whereabouts. Unfortunately, Rita asked you to break into Madam Umbridge’s office and find some interesting news for her article in exchange for giving you the location of Madam Xeep. Since you had no other option, you agreed to her proposition. Next, you should meet up with Ben and inform him about what happened. But before that, you should take care of lessons and assignments. Proceed to the Potions classroom when you are ready.

To unlock the Rat Tonic lesson, you need to obtain a total of nine stars from Potions classes. Select the class duration suitable to your liking, and hit Start to begin.

During the classes, prioritize 5-cost actions if you want to save as much energy as possible.

Try your best to complete all the mini-tasks successfully to earn some extra Knowledge points.

Return to the classroom once you obtain enough stars to unlock the lesson.

Learning how to brew the Rat Tonic requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

Upon earning five stars, you will need to wave your wand over the cauldron to finish the potion. Trace the wand movement to do so.

Proceed to the Ministry Office once you are ready to start the assignment.

You’ll ask Mad-Eye to tell you what’s going on.

Moody will tell you there was an explosion in a small village in Northumberland.

You’ll ask if anyone got injured.

Luckily, that wasn’t the case, thanks to a witch and wizard.

Apparently, a wizard dropped an Erumpent horn by accident.


Mad-Eye will ask you to help the Ministry deal with the situation.

You’ll gladly agree to help in any way you can.

The assignment window will display the tasks you need to finish in order to complete the assignments. As always, you can feel free to do them in any order you prefer.

For these tasks, you should select the duration that matches their star requirements.

Focus on 5-cost actions if you are looking to save as much energy as possible.

Also, try your best to complete all the mini-tasks to earn some extra attribute points.

Return to the Ministry Office once you complete all the tasks.

Mad-Eye will praise you for the job well done.

He’ll also say that the Ministry managed to locate the wizard responsible for the explosion.

Apparently, the wizard accidentally dropped the Erumpent horn when he had to sneeze.


You will say that the Muggle authorities were informed that the explosion was caused by a firework accident.

Once again, Mad-Eye will congratulate you on a job well done.


You will receive the reward for completing the assignment.

Now that the lessons and assignments have been taken care of, you can proceed to meet with Ben at the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes.

Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.

Ben will ask if you’ve managed to learn the location of Zenith Xeep.

You’ll tell him that you need to do one more thing before Rita tells you where Madam Xeep is.

Needless to say, your friend won’t be too happy to hear that.

You’ll tell him that Rita wants something ‘big’ for her next article.

You will also say that you need to break into Dolores Umbridge’s office and steal some information.


Without giving it much thought, Ben will agree that breaking into Madam Umbridge’s office is the best course of action.

You’ll notice that he’s not really worried.

He’ll say that he’s not worried at all. He will ask if you are. There are two options to reply with. Neither of these will significantly impact the story, so feel free to take your pick.

Either way, he will say that you don’t really need to break into Madam Umbridge’s office.

You’ll recall her wanting to speak to you.

Ben will say that the only thing you need to do is to think of a way to distract her.


Discussing distractions requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why you shouldn’t start this task if your energy is low.

There are 5-cost actions tied to Ben and your character. Focus on those if you want to save as much energy as possible.

In the end, you will decide to distract Madam Umbridge with a prank.


In regards to your cover, you’ll remember that she asked you to come over for tea.

Ben won’t really think it is a good idea.

He will advise you to be a bit more inconspicuous.

He’ll tell you that Magical Maintenance is conducting office checks.

In other words, you could use that as an excuse to look through Madam Umbridge’s office.


The only thing you still need is a prank to get Madam Umbridge out of her office.

You’ll figure out that one of your prankster friends might be able to help.

Ben will remind you that Tonks is still busy working in the Auror Office.

Luckily, you had someone else in mind.

The prankster you were thinking about is none other than Tulip Karasu.


Head to Zonko’s Joke Shop once you are ready to continue.

When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say.

Tulip will be very glad to see you.


You’ll tell Tulip you need her help to pull off a prank on someone at the Ministry.



She will be very surprised to hear that.

You’ll tell her you’re planning to prank Dolores Umbridge.

Apparently, Tulip is well-aware of who Madam Umbridge is.


She’ll explain that her parents took her to work while she was younger, which is how she got acquainted with Madam Umbridge.


Tulip will wonder what you think about Dolores Umbridge. There are two options to pick from. If you like Madam Umbridge, it is somewhat recommended to pick the second option.

Tulip will suggest looking for the perfect prank to use on Madam Umbridge.

Finding the perfect prank requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is recommended no to start this task with an empty energy bar.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are 5-cost actions tied to the Dungbomb stand, a box, pranks on the shelf, and your character. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

In the end, Tulip will advise you to use a Dungbomb to prank Madam Umbridge.


You’ll decide to head back to the Ministry and put your plan into motion.

Tulip will admit she is jealous that she won’t be there to witness everything.

You’ll promise to tell her all about it later.


Before leaving, you will thank Tulip for helping you find the perfect prank.

You’ll need to wait four hours until you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Head to Office 34B once the waiting time is over.

Madam Umbridge will be surprised to see you in her office.

You’ll calmly say that you came on behalf of the Magical Maintenance Department.


Madam Umbridge will find it odd that you are working in Magical Maintenance.


She’ll offer to make you some tea.

The choice that you’ve made while visiting her office the previous time will take effect here.

In any case, you will agree to her proposition.

While she goes to prepare the tea, you will use the opportunity to set up the Dungbomb.

Unfortunately, Madam Umbridge will spot you doing something under the table.

You’ll immediately say that you’ve accidentally dropped a coin.

Luckily, your excuse will work, and Madam Umbridge won’t suspect anything.


You will quickly change the subject and say that her tea looks delicious.

She’ll tell you that tea makes it easier to open up.

You’ll decide to let it cool down for a bit before tasting it.

Madam Umbridge will ask you about your adventures at Hogwarts.

She’ll ask if you were involved with the Cursed Vaults.

You will nod and say that she’s right about that.

She will ask you to tell her about the Final Cursed Vault. There are three options to reply with. Neither of those will impact the story in any big way, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Madam Umbridge will then ask you about the treasure.


You will quickly figure out that for some reason, she is very interested in the Cursed Vaults.


Without explaining anything, she’ll simply tell you to answer the question.

However, before you tell her anything, the Dungbomb will go off, filling the entire room with an awful stench.


Needless to say, Madam Umbridge won’t be happy about it.

You’ll try to find some words to explain yourself.

Luckily for you, she will assume that someone else was responsible for the prank.



Before long, Madam Umbridge will leave the office.


You’ll quickly decide to use the opportunity to search the place.

Searching the office requires earning five stars within eight hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

The only 5-cost action here is tied to some documents on the table. Focus on those if you want to save a bit of energy.

Once you’re done searching, you will notice the important-looking document on the table.

Upon inspecting it, you’ll realize that you’ve found what you’ve been looking for.

According to the document, the Ministry is planning a Wizengamot trial.

Unfortunately, you won’t find any details about the trial.

You’ll quickly decide to meet with Rita and inform her about your findings.


Proceed to the Leaky Cauldron once you’re ready to continue.

Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say.

Rita will be glad to see you arrive.

She’ll ask if you’ve managed to obtain the information she wanted.

You’ll tell her that you did find something.

However, before revealing anything, you’ll ask her to promise that she’ll tell you where Zenith Xeep is.

Having no other options, Rita will promise to fulfill her end of a bargain.

You’ll then start telling her everything.

Sharing your information requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are 5-cost actions tied to Rita, Ben, and your character, so focus on those if you want to save some energy.

You’ll sum things up and say that the Ministry is planning a Wizengamot trial.

Rita will be delighted to hear that.

She’ll praise you and say that you remind her of her younger self. There are two options to reply with. If you like Rita, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Ben will ask Rita to say where Madam Xeep is.

She will still find it hard to believe that Zenith got involved in the whole memory-erasing scandal.


You’ll point out there are several reasons why someone would do something like that.

The choice that you’ve made during the previous chapter will take effect here.

In any case, you’ll tell Rita to stop beating around the bush.

She’ll say that you can find Zenith Xeep in Knockturn Alley.

You’ll quickly decide to head over there and confront Madam Xeep.

You will need to wait three hours until you can continue.

Proceed to Knockturn Alley once the waiting time is over.

Ben will be determined to confront Madam Xeep and get some answers.

Hopefully, you will be able to shed some light on the whole mystery by catching her.

However, you will decide to check who she’s meeting with first.

You’ll tell Ben that you have your Invisibility Cloak to stay hidden.

Unfortunately, your friend won’t have any disguise.

Apparently, he doesn’t care if he gets seen or not.


Moments later, Madam Xeep will show up, accompanied by Wilkie Twycross.

Suddenly, Twycross will transform into a Dark Witch you saw near the end of the previous year. She will ask Zenith if the potion worked.

Madam Xeep will tell her that the potion worked precisely as intended.

The Dark Witch will ask her about the wand.

Madam Xeep will take out the wand and present it to the Dark Witch.

Suddenly, Ben will run towards her and try to grab the wand. Unfortunately, the Dark Witch will hit him with Stupefy before he manages to do that.


As soon as she sees you, the Dark Witch will apparate away.


You will demand some answers from Zenith Xeep.

Unfortunately, she won’t be willing to answer any of your questions.


She will wonder how you’ve managed to find her. There are two options to reply with. If you don’t want to reveal Rita’s involvement, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Shortly after, you will be forced to duel Madam Xeep. The task window will display all the relevant information, so hit Start when you are ready to begin.

If you haven’t rushed through the story, you should have a significant attribute advantage. However, in case you skipped most of the side content, this duel may pose quite the challenge. In that case, one way to approach the duel is to go Aggressive during the first turn and use Incendio. If you get the burn effect, you can go either Aggressive or Defensive during the second turn and use Depulso or Flipendo. This way, you will be able to win the duel in two turns. However, if you don’t get the burn effect, or if you get stunned, you might end up losing the duel. Still, this strategy will give you a solid chance to win, as long as you get a bit lucky.

Once you defeat Madam Xeep, she will take out the bottle of Xeep’s Luscious Locks Solution and quickly drink it.

Once again, you will demand answers from her.

Unfortunately, she will be confused by your questions.


You will quickly figure out that she’s lost her memories.
