No Laughing Organic Matter Adventure

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for No Laughing Organic Matter Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. This adventure is available for students of Year 7 and it should unlock after reaching Chapter 44 of Year 7. Once you start the adventure, you have 1 day and 13 hours to complete it.

As a mini-adventure, this adventure only has one part. Although short in the number of tasks, be aware that four tasks have an eight-hour duration. Luckily, there are no waiting times between the tasks.

In this adventure, you will help Tonks care for her Alihotsy plant named Al. This experience will also help you prepare for the upcoming Herbology N.E.W.T.s, so be sure to complete this adventure.

Professor Sprout will inform you that the Herbology class is going to start soon, so go to the Herbology Classroom. Once you arrive, you can check what other students have to say, especially Barnaby. You will find Tonks in a very good mood. Apparently, she is completely prepared for the N.E.W.T.s. She’ll say that she knows everything there is about Herbology.

You will learn that Professor Sprout prepared a special assignment to prepare students for the upcoming N.E.W.T.s. Each student will be given an Alihotsy plant to take with them. The task for the students is to keep the plant safe outside of the classroom. The professor will ask the students if can they handle such a task. You can react to her question in three ways. Your choice here won’t have a significant impact on the story later.

Professor Sprout will remind everyone that she wants plants to be returned to her, all healthy and happy. Soon after, she will start a Herbology lesson where you should learn how to give proper care to your Alihotsy plant. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three tasks are required to pass.

You can save some energy by prioritizing bonus actions. Those actions are tied to Penny and Professor Sprout.

After the lecture, the Professor will ask several questions to test the student‘s knowledge. The correct answer to the first question is “Laughter”.

The correct answer to the second question is “Glumbumble treacle”.

The correct answer for the final question is “Fertiliser”.

Professor Sprout will be very pleased if you answered every question correctly.

If you give all the wrong answers, you will persuade the Professor to take the quiz again. Whether you have all the correct answers or some of them, you will receive an Alihotsy plant for your assignment. Soon after, Tonks will invite you to come to the Library.

Once you arrive, you can first check what students and Madam Pince have to say by clicking their speech bubbles. You can slide the screen left and right to see all the speech bubbles. You will find Tonks reading a lot of books. She’ll tell you that everything is perfectly fine.

She will pay attention to the Alihotsy plant you brought and comment on how it has such luscious and healthy leaves. You’ll ask her where her plant is. She will mention that it’s safe and happy, and she’ll quickly change the subject.

You will find this very odd, so you will try to convince her to open up about what troubles her. The recommended attribute levels for this task will be close to your current attribute levels.

Below are the questions and answers for this task.

• Will you tell Professor Sprout? – This stays between us (Empathy)
• How do I know I can trust you? – I wouldn’t betray a friend (Courage)

• What if you’re disappointed in me? – I won’t judge you (Knowledge)

When you complete the task you will earn some Friendship Experience with Tonks.

Tonks will finally open up and she will admit what troubles her. She nearly killed her Alihotsy plant named Al. You have three options to react with. If you like Tonks it is recommended to pick the first option.

Tonks will point out that it’s not her fault that Al nearly died, and she is afraid that she won’t pass the Herbology N.E.W.T. She‘ll further explain that she needs to pass to join the Auror program when she graduates.

You will offer to help her and ask what really happened. She’ll decide that it’s better to show you.

When you are ready, go to Forest Grove. You will see Al in its miserable state.

You will inspect the plant, and you’ll notice that it’s half-eaten. Suddenly, you will hear laughter.

You and Tonks will be confused but shortly after a laughing Red Cap will appear.

You will wonder how a Red Cap got a hold of Al. Tonks will offer to explain what happened. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. It is recommended to start this task with full energy.

Bonus progress action is tied to Tonks. Prioritize this action to save a bit of energy.

She thought that Al would be safe in Forest Grove, but Red Cap ate some of its leaves. Because Al is an Alihotsy, Red Cap is suffering from its side effect, which is uncontrollable laughter. Tonks will again be worried if she’ll be Auror. Shortly after, she will start to overthink, imagining all the bad stuff that will follow.

Your Hufflepuff friend will need some help to calm down. There are three ways to calm her down. Any of those options will help, but it’s best if you choose the second option.

You will point out that there is still time before you have to present your plants to Professor Sprout. You should try to revive Al until then. Luckily, Talbott is an expert on plants, so you’ll decide to ask him for help.

Go to the Owlery to meet Talbott when you are ready. Once you arrive, Tonks and you will be surprised to see Talbott’s plant so healthy. Talbott will mention that he used a special blend of owl dung fertilizer. Your Hufflepuff friend will start chuckling upon hearing that.

After discussing his Alihotsy, you will show Al to Talbott.

Talbott will be shocked to see the plant in such a state. You will update him on what happened. He’ll mention that the situation is dire but not hopeless. The Alihotsy is a fairly hardy plant, and the incident with the Red Cap shouldn’t stop it from growing.

The only problem is that it won’t regrow back in time for Professor Sprout’s inspection. However, you could use the Herbivicus Charm to speed up its growth. This will cheer up Tonks and you, but Talbott will wonder if the use of magic would be considered cheating.

You have two options to reply with. This choice won’t have a significant impact, so feel free to choose the option you prefer.

You will persuade Talbott to help you with the Herbivicus Charm, but first, you need to review it to make sure it will work as intended. The following line of dialogue will differ depending on whether you’ve learned the Herbivicus Charm earlier or not.

To review the Herbivicus Charm, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to complete this task.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Talbott. Prioritize those actions to save some energy.

You will thank Talbott for his help. The following line will differ depending on whether you’ve learned the Herbivicus Charm before.

Tonks will be too nervous to try the charm, so she will ask you to cast it.

Suddenly, with a wave of your wand, Al will be fully revitalized.

Luckily, you revived the plant just in time. The Herbology Class will start soon, and Professor Sprout will inspect the plants.

Go to the Herbology Classroom when you are ready. Once you arrive there, you will notice speech bubbles above your friends’ heads. Tap the bubbles to see what they have to say. Before inspecting the plants, Professor Sprout will ask if you had any difficulties with your assignments. This choice won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to choose the option you like.

The time for the presentation of the Alihotsy plants will arrive.

To complete the task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. It is recommended to have full energy before starting this task.

There is only one bonus progress action here, and it’s tied to your character. Prioritize this action to save some energy.

Professor Sprout will praise Talbott’s and your Alihotsy plants. Once she inspects Tonk’s plant, she will be suspicious of how the plant grew its leaves so large in just a few short days. You have two options on how to defend Tonks. Both options will lead to a similar outcome, but it is better to tell the truth.

Luckily for you, Professor Sprout will mention that she never explicitly forbid magic for this assignment. If you picked the first option, she will also justify your actions.

Shortly after, she will inform Tonks that she appreciates her tenacity in completing the project and that Tonks is ready to take the Herbology N.E.W.T.

Tonks will thank you and Talbott for helping her. She will also mention that this knowledge you have acquired now will surely help you in the Herbology N.E.W.T.

Moments later, the No Laughing Organic Matter adventure will come to an end. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.
