May the 4th is almost upon us and that means- STAR WARS day! Now, if you are not a fan of the Star Wars movie franchise, the whole tradition began with the all famous movie line “May the force be with you”. The movie spawned numerous games and even more are coming now, which is why we shall take a look at them.
Earlier this year, EA officials issued a statement saying that they’ve given up on making an open-world SW game, but they officially guarantee that other upcoming stuff is still a reality. It was EA Vancouver that gave the fans the bad news. However, what people are really undoubtedly interested in is the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Release date is TBD but the game is definitely coming.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, episode 9, will close the chapter on the new trilogy and the studios are naturally trying to capitalize on their investments. This means to shut down anything that isn’t very hot and to push those titles that are eagerly awaited.
The fans will also have the chance to play Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series, Star Wars: Rise to Power, Star Wars: Outer Rim, Spark of home, and others. All these Star Wars games are non-canon, which means each and every one can follow a story of its own.
Star Wars video games, movies, and new content are naturally always welcome, but the fans are left to see what lever is the first one EA and Disney will pull. It will undoubtedly be something they will pour millions in. Here’s hoping it is epic. May the 4th be with you!
