Memopoly: An Annoying Game of Puzzle

Memopoly by Appsolute Games is another puzzle game that will count on your concentration and memory for gameplay. However, puzzle games are very mysterious and you can’t be sure what to expect from them sometimes. That is until you start playing and figure out the system to solve them.

Published for iOS in August, Memopoly is a really confusing game at first. The gameplay is based on a series of sequences which rely on color. When you tap on the color on the object on the right side, it will appear in one of the boxes on the left and you have to remember the place of that color there. You continue to tap on colors on the right object in order to guess all the boxes in active tear on the left. Once all the colors are revealed on the left, you need to tap the colors on the right object in that order. As you progress, the game introduces more colors and that makes the guessing and memorizing more difficult.

However, that is all there is to this game. At first, it took me time to figure out what it is all about. The numbers in the middle counted down the taps I had left, that was clear from the begging. But the tap color that kept appearing here and t here turned into a horror for me, especially since the developer says that this is a “relaxing game of puzzle.” Okay, there is rarely anything relaxing about puzzles so that should have been the first clue that something doesn’t add up here. But who would have thought that this game will turn into an annoying nightmare right from the start!? And once I figured out what to do and started playing level by level, I quickly got bored and gave up.

The game looks pleasant, and the background music is really soothing, but unfortunately, the game wasn’t. Since it’s free, I didn’t waste anything more than my time, but nevertheless, the developers could have made an effort to explain the rules better. Maybe create a clear and longer tutorial that will teach you the gameplay from the start so you could find that relaxing sensation of tapping colors on the screen.

All of you who figured out Memopoly without a problem – I salute you! I hope you had a much better experience with this game than I did. After all, the colors are pretty and music is relaxing, but that is something I can get from listening to my iPod and staring at Kandinsky replica on my wall.
