Microsoft Teases What to Expect in 2019

Every beginning of the year makes gamers wonder what kind of games will come their way in the next 365 days. After all, we live for teasers and promises of great things to come. This time, it’s Microsoft who is the bringer of said promises and it truly decided to give us a lot to hope for in 2019.

In a blog post, Xbox released they did a nice job to tease us about the future releases and plans. Thus, games like Ori, The Will of the Wisps, Crackdown 3, Minecraft: Dungeons and Gear 5 are all waiting for us this year. And the best thing about this is that Xbox Game Pass membership will cover these and all other games coming our way.

Sea of Thieves will get a new update called Arena which means that the game will get a competitive mode. But besides these announcements, there are also new things coming from Microsoft studios all over the world. As the company said, its goal will be bringing new Microsoft technologies to its consumers and it is something it plans to respect in the future.

“And we can’t wait to show you what all the Microsoft Studios development teams are working on. We’re focused on implementing new Microsoft technologies, delivering content for new platforms and services like Xbox Game Pass, and creating exclusive games that turn players into loyal Xbox fans,” said Microsoft.

Microsoft is ready to expand its franchises that are already on the market and loved by players. It’s the company’s intention to invest in new content and to enhance its efforts to achieve these ambitions. Only last year Microsoft acquired six studios: Playground Games, Compulsion Games, Ninja Theory, Undead Labs, Obsidian Entertainment and inXile Entertainment and created a new one called The Initiative.

Besides games, Microsoft is preparing a game-streaming service which will make possible to play console-quality Halo on a smartphone. And Halo TV show and Gears of War movie are also in the works, and let’s not forget that multiple new Xbox consoles are also underway.
