Nokia definitely aims to make the most out of its comeback on the mobile market, by launching a model after model in successive fashion. The model we’re going to deal with today is 2018 edition of Nokia X6. This model is one of the flagships, with a penchant to camera quality, but with other features that prominently distinguish themselves, like the top-notch design of display and powerful chipset under the hood. X6 is a pretty impressive device, more so considering it’s a pocket-friendly model with entry-level specs that are fully baked. Despite that, Nokia X6 looks pretty cool with a top-notch (akin LG G7 ThinQ and OnePlus 6) and a “chin” at the bottom of the screen. At the back screen, there is a mandatory fingertip sensor, along with dual rear camera in the vertical layout and USB-C port and, surprisingly enough, 3,5 standard headphone jack.
Let’s start with the obvious. Nokia X6 sports a gorgeous looking 5,8” IPS LCD 19:9 aspect ratio display, supporting 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution at a 435 PPI density. The screen displays sharp and highly prominent images, so using it is a real treat for your eyes, be it movies, games, pictures or anything else. The overall performance of the display is quite good, not only in the category of phones like Nokia X6, but generally. One thing is for sure about Nokia smartphones, and that is the camera performance will be staggering. To be precise, Nokia X6 employs 16MP rear camera with LED flash, plus a secondary a 5MP sensor.
On the front, there’s a 16MP camera that lets you capture the scenery and your dear people. The image quality is, as expected, quite dazzling. The colors are amazing with a lot of details and the focus is razor sharp. This camera is loaded with various features, including Phase Detection, Autofocus, Dual-LED, Geo-Tagging, Touch Focus, Panorama, and HDR.
The main force of Nokia X6 2018 is Qualcomm SDM636 Snapdragon 636 chipset with Adreno 509 taking care of graphics department. The performance is smooth as butter and it handles multi-tasking as well as gaming without any hiccups. Memory wise, there is 4/6GB of RAM onboard, which makes Nokia X6 great at multitasking fluidly.
The Nokia X6 comes with two variants of onboard memory – one of them is 64GB paired with 6GB, whereas the other variant is equipped with 32GB paired with 4GB of RAM. If somehow this isn’t enough for you, there are also options of microSD cards that allow you to expand it up to 256GB.
The phone is powered by a highly capable 3060mAh non-removable battery that will keep your phone through all day long of both casual and a somewhat heavy usage in a single charge. It shows that Nokia X6 is miles ahead of Nokia 1 (2150mAh) but also lags a bit comparing to Oppo R15 (3450mAh) & Asus ZenFone 5 (3300mAh).
Nokia X6 is one of the devices the company expects a lot of. Its specifications and performances show that the device is ready for some major takeover of the mobile market.
