This is the time of the year when everything is in tune for Halloween. Big games add some ghostly themes and there is currently Halloween sale on Steam, too. But for me, it was all about finding the perfect movie for the day and drinking pumpkin latte. This year I also found a game to pair with all that as well.
Now, Monster Farm: Happy Halloween Game & Ghost Village by Foranj is nothing original since it uses the principles of so many games you probably already played or seen. Farmville comes to mind for me whenever I have to explain this type of games since they rarely have anything unique to show. But Monster Farm: Happy Halloween Game & Ghost Village for iOS and Android devices is not so hard to remember.
The concept of the game is simple really. You need to grow plants and tend to animals in order to grow your monster farm. As a zombie castaway, your character lives in the outskirts of town in a large area where he gets to grow magic crops. Pumpkin Jack, mandrakes and mushrooms are just some of the plants you will be able to grow on your farm. With every harvest, you will use the produce to make treats which you will use to give to kids when they come trick or treating. Also, you can sell your products in the town or to neighbors, both being an excellent way to earn some money. You will have help from various creatures like ghosts, vampires, and werewolves, and you can play with friends and family, as well.
This may not be the greatest game out there but it’s the perfect Halloween title you can play casually and together with your loved ones. Moreover, it’s addictive and no matter how silly you find it, you will come back to grow crops and tend to animals. You will be obsessed with expanding the monster farm and unlocking other goodies you can have once you level up.
While this type of games many don’t consider to be worthy of the time, I find them perfect to pass the time or have some fun. Not everyone is a hardcore gamer but likes to play a title from time to time that won’t steal too much of their time. You will have work to do in Monster Farm: Happy Halloween Game & Ghost Village, but it won’t last for hours and usually, you will have to come back the next day to continue to play.
The art is perfect to let your kids play as well, as is the gameplay. This is not a horror game with gore and scary characters. It actually has a true spirit of Halloween going on that is appropriate for children during the holiday and after. So, while you plan your Halloween disguise and decorations for your home, give Monster Farm: Happy Halloween Game & Ghost Village a try. It’s in the spirit of the season, after all.
