ANOTHER EDEN 2020 REVIEW AND GUIDES

Welcome pros and casuals to Another Eden’s best heroes tier list. Like most other playlists it’s meant for the endgame. We have positioned the heroes from the best one to the worst, as most of them can’t be divided into tiers. Because the difference is not that prominent, and we might do injustice to them, and we wouldn’t fancy this. Also, you might see that some of the heroes are labeled by + (AS) meaning that we would equalize that version with another one, making them both equally viable. The list will be updated as the game gets updated, so you may expect us to react to every major change, and shift the heroes’ positions accordingly. Hope you’ll enjoy it!

Dunarith

Dunarith is the best healer in the game at the moment and one of the best supports…

Dunarith is the best healer in the game at the moment and one of the best supports, no doubt about it. Breath Soul is restoring the health of every ally and it’s granting a 100% critical rate. So it’s boosting your entire party while also healing by a huge rate. He can also buff the Wind characters, increasing their damage output while also healing the party for a medium rate. Wind buff is not overlapping with attribute buffs that contribute to the wind attack power, so it can be strengthened even further. Magic Cloak is another one of his excellent buffs. It lasts for 5 rounds, and it’s healing teammates whenever they are targeted by magic while also increasing their elemental resistance. Most importantly it’s health recovery is activated after the reduction, making it much more effective. It’s an excellent counter for enemy teams with a lot of magic wielders. Dunarith’s chant is reducing the enemies’ intelligence while recovering your allies. He is a pretty versatile hero and can be used in most teams, while the Wind allies are an obvious best choice.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Mariel

Formerly the best support in the game, a role now taken by Dunarith. Mariel is still the second-best choice and not far behind…

Formerly the best support in the game, a role now taken by Dunarith. Mariel is still the second-best choice and not far behind. Mariel is a healer and support that’s an excellent choice for dungeons with elemental bosses. Mariel can use the Aurora Force to buff the resistance by 50% for two turns, which is the best defense buff, and the one that’s of great assistance against the above-mentioned bosses. This will reduce the damage taken by a tremendous amount. She can also use the chant for even more resilience, which is viable even if you are low on MP. Due to high intelligence Mariel can dish out some damage and assist against the opponents with a high physical attack resistance. It’s not exceptionally effective, but it can help out. When you combine all this with her tremendous healing potential, you realize why she is so high on the list. The only thing you need to watch out is not to run out of mana in fights that last longer, because that could quickly lead your team to become defenseless. Take care of how and when to use each skill, look for the best available openings and Mariel will do just fine.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Nagi (AS)

What’s up with girls and tentacles obsession?  Nvm, Nagi is a squid girl…

What’s up with girls and tentacles obsession?  Nvm, Nagi is a squid girl. She is an earth damage dealer, a very potent one. She can reduce the Earth resistance of the target through Naidalia Edge up to four times (yes, it’s stackable) and it lasts for three turns. This is phenomenal in the Earth party. The effect goes to a maximum of 50% reduction, as it’s halved each time after the second. Still, a 50% damage to each earth attack is everything but negligible. The skill also enables you to ignore the target’s resistance so you can slash pretty hard, even if the opponent is pretty durable. That’s not all, Naidalia Edge is buffing your power and it’s reducing the MP consumption. The reduced MP consumption is really important as you want to use your skills as much as possible to make the best use of the earth debuff you are inflicting. And to keep re-applying it. Since the Nagi (AS) has poor maximum MP, you’ll have to devise some devious tactics to make sure you have enough, mostly through armor. It takes a bit of time to apply all of these debuffs, so you’ll need a few turns to make it all happen and unlock Nagi’s full potential.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Felmina

Felmina is an assassin taken in by an unnamed guild as a child and taught martial arts…

Felmina is an assassin taken in by an unnamed guild as a child and taught martial arts (who said Arya Stark?). She excels at attacking one opponent and inflicting severe destruction upon him through Tri-cataclysm. It’s a Wind blunt attack, that inflicts even more damage in case the target is inflicted with Poison or Pain. She has the means to inflict the poison herself, so there is no need to rely on someone else, although it’s helpful and safer if someone else can do it too. Other skills are reducing blunt resistance and powering Felmina even further, while also inflicting poison and pain. Looks like the guild taught her well, as this girl is truly a fearsome foe. The only reason she is not higher on the list is the poor MP management, as she needs a lot of MP to effectively use the Tri-cataclysm. It requires special conditions, as it’s recommended to always use Licorice Blossom prior to it for the maximum effect, or to have someone else inflict the poison onto enemies instead.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Lokido (AS)

Lokido is a half-demon that belongs to the Light and hates monsters. He is more efficient in the short battle…

Lokido is a half-demon that belongs to the Light and hates monsters?! Ok. He might not have an awesome background story, but you know what he does have? Damage and debuffs. Ground Shaker is his main driving force, it buffs his speed  (stackable) and it inflicts great damage upon the enemy. It can consume the Fearless Fortitude for an additional attack. Fearless Fortitude is a debuff that’s impacting the enemy’s intelligence and it’s applied through Heavenly Impact, which is attacking all enemies and stunning them. Heavenly Impact is a really MP friendly skill, costing ridiculously low, and it can be used on a first strike. Great way to open up a fight. His passive, Hold Ground, enables Lokido to survive with 1 health when he goes under 0. You can use this to soak the attack of some of the deadliest foes and still, hmmmm…hold your ground (pun not intended). He is also reducing the blunt and earth resistance with some of his attacks, so you can combine him well with heroes that deal either damage, like Suzette. Watch out for his MP in prolonged battles, as he can run out after a while. He is more efficient in the short battle.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Suzette

This gothic-looking gal is equal part as deadly as she’s good looking…

This gothic-looking gal is equal part as deadly as she’s good looking. Suzette’s chant is extremely powerful as it can boost the power and intelligence of all party members by a significant sum. It lasts only one turn, but that’s enough for nuking if you time it the right way. She can also take advantage of her own boost. Suzette is exceptional against the teams with as many adversaries as possible because most of her skills are targeting all foes, but she can also strike heavily against the single target. She probably has the third-highest single target damage in the game. Also, she is relying heavily upon dealing damage through poison and that’s one of her weaknesses, sort to speak. The other one is much more serious and it’s related to maximizing her to 5 stars because even at 4 she is not showing her full potential. You HAVE to max Suzette to make her viable. But when you do, boy, it will be worth it.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Cerrine

This deadly professor is eager to teach some naughty bad guys a lesson. Armed with a whip, she’s as dangerous as she looks…

This deadly professor is eager to teach some naughty bad guys a lesson. Armed with a whip, she’s as dangerous as she looks. Cerrine can dish out three different types of damage – piercing, blunt and earth, making her really potent against any enemy no matter their resistance. You can always hit their weakness, and that also makes her great against opponents whose resistances change (bosses). She has an awesome chant that’s increasing the power and speed of all party members, making them much more effective in the attack, while also buffing the number of actions. That’s not all, with Motivating Lash Cerrine can buff herself even more while also hitting the foe for some solid damage output. With both boosts, she will be around 50% faster and stronger, so the Ground Raiser and Invigorating Flog will both tremendously harm anyone they hit. Btw, Invigorating Flog will also boost her power and speed, and it’s stackable. She can become a true monster if you combine everything in the right way. Beware, evildoers, you’ll be in for some serious flogging once this teacher enters the classroom.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Melina + (AS)

This adorable tiny girl can be seen with her blue cat-dog pet which is really tiny, and you can easily miss it. What you can’t miss is a water hammer she is carrying that’s twice her size…

This adorable tiny girl can be seen with her blue cat-dog pet which is really tiny, and you can easily miss it. What you can’t miss is a water hammer she is carrying that’s twice her size. I love her valor chant, she is yelling “Show them salvation!” while bashing the foes senseless with her water hammer. Reminds me of medieval inquisition, they were also there to steer you the right path and show you salvation, but through fire. Her chant is pretty effective (so was the inquisitors), as it’s weakening the foe’s water and blunt resistance, making every hit even more effective. The chant is automatically placing her in teams with high water and blunt focused damage. She can also debuff her foes, stun them, and inflict solid harm upon them. Crashing Wave will enable you to buff your teammates’ power, and you can also boost it through Tidal Movement and Affluent Surge. She is very versatile because she can harm with both water and blunt, and her damage is not negligible. How could it be with the hammer of that size…

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Lovely

It’s official, Lovely has the best image the world has ever seen. I mean, she is a dwarf that’s wearing the luggage bag bigger than the western gold diggers had…

It’s official, Lovely has the best image the world has ever seen. I mean, she is a dwarf that’s wearing the luggage bag bigger than the western gold diggers had. But that’s not all, folks. There is a pig helping her heat up the pan of meat and vegetables at the fire, and you can even see other piggy sticking out of her bag on the base image. Brutal. She is absolutely devastating in a team that deals heavy fire damage, as she can reduce the fire resistance of her foes by a high margin. This can “set them up” for the proper annihilation. She can also inflict poison, so you can mix her up with poison teammates as one of Lovely’s best abilities deals increased damage in case the target is poisoned. She can also support her allies by increasing their physical resistance through her chant while reducing the effectiveness of her foes through the reduction of their power. You can buff your allies’ wind resistance by 50%, making them extremely resilient to wind attacks for 3 rounds while also boosting their power by a small percentage. Secret Recipe also restores all statuses. Her passive, Lovelin Snacks, will restore some small portion of HP and MP to one of the party members, helping you in the prolonged fights. The only problem with Lovely is her MP management, as a few of her skills are really demanding and can drain you pretty quickly.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Akane (AS)

Akane is a samurai girl that’s not aware of her skill and power, and this gets her into trouble sometimes…

Akane is a samurai girl that’s not aware of her skill and power, and this gets her into trouble sometimes. She has an excellent valor chant that boosts her own power and speed by a solid amount for 3 turns. And she can boost herself even further through Anatman, but only the fire attacks. She can slash and dash all around, dealing damage to a single target, or to the whole team. Flat Attack enables her to stun one foe, but all of this is less important. The main reason she is here is her speed, as she really is a demon. This is enhanced even more through Divine Circle Slash, the fire slash that targets one enemy and stacks Akane with Yaksha’s Heart which increases her speed even further. Divine Circle Slash gets an increased number of attacks depending on the number of Yaksha’s Hearts Akane has stacked, up to 3. On the third stack, she will consume it all and literally destroy anything on her path, even adding some AoE damage. Make sure you get buffed before, and this attack can turn the tide of most battles.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Dewey

You know that time when you were a kid, pretending to be a James Bond, Arnold Schwarzenegger, making the gun out of hand and going pew, pew? That’s basically how Dewey works.

You know that time when you were a kid, pretending to be a James Bond, Arnold Schwarzenegger, making the gun out of hand and going pew, pew? That’s basically how Dewey works. He is also having those kids chants “We can’t lose! Not while I’m here!”. It’s a pretty solid chant though, reducing the enemies’ intelligence and water resistance. It can also be boosted through some of his other skills, effectively decreasing your foes’ intelligence even further. He can also inflict sleep upon his enemies, and increase the power and water attack of all party members for three turns. That’s extremely useful in most teams, but it’s most effective when used in a team with the same element type. If you equip him with items like Toto’s Luckypuncher, you can get reduce the MP consumption, making him more suitable for longer fights. Mist Blast will deal some water blunt damage to a single target, but it will increase the attack of your characters equipped with fists by almost a half. Vapor Canon costs a bit more MP, dealing the same damage as the Mind Blast, but it is a debuff that’s reducing the opponent’s intelligence and speed. Dewey might not be the best damage dealer (of course not, he is using the pew, pew gun) but he is indispensable as a support and a debuffer, especially in teams with certain complementary compositions.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Rosetta

Ah, a true inquisitor, now we are talking… Rosetta is a Shadow Priest that’s who’s phrase is really lovely: “No one exists in this world without something to hide”…

Ah, a true inquisitor, now we are talking… Rosetta is a Shadow Priest that’s who’s phrase is really lovely: “No one exists in this world without something to hide”. True, true. Rosetta is an excellent healer and support that can even poke enemies with a few fire-based skills. She has a valor chant that’s really valuable in every fire-based team because it increases their attacks by 40%! It’s also effective on her, as two of her skills are fire magic. Doctrina, Fair Trail, and Codex will enable you to restore your allies’ health, but Codex is most effective as it’s healing a bit more and it’s protecting your teammates with Status immunity. On the other hand, it costs 3 times more MP than Doctrina. Tree of Life is a buff that will increase the intelligence of your party members for a few turns, and also heal all of their statuses. If you combine her chant with the Scales of Thermis, even Rosetta’s attacks become really formidable, not to mention all of your allies that are fire-based. Scales of Thermis are also nice as a defensive buff against fire foes. Biblia is the most potent healing ability Rosetta has, kinda like a bit buffed version of Codex.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Tsubame

A Shinobi that has a cat, but she doesn’t have the Cat Lover personality.

A Shinobi that has a cat, but she doesn’t have the Cat Lover personality. She is a buffer/debuffer and a heavy blunt and earth damage dealer, that’s how she got so high on this list. Tsubames’ valor chant is increasing the speed of every party member while debuffing the enemy teams’ power for a turn. It’s an excellent combination. Now let’s talk about her skills. You should make sure to have Battle Meridian buff on Tsubame as soon as possible, as it increases her speed and power greatly for 5 rounds. With Enma Shuriken she will assault every foe and reduce their earth resistance. Twin Snakes is a really potent ability that deals extraordinary damage while also stunning the target. Hama Shuriken will slash all foes and decrease their earth resistance for 3 rounds. Raging Cat Dance will deal the earth blunt damage to the single target, so make sure you apply the earth weakness first. Chaos Shuriken is the most powerful offensive tool in the Tsubame’s box, as it’s dealing extreme damage to all foes while reducing their earth resistance even further. This is probably one of the best offensive skills in the game but it’s also pretty costly. Naturally, combine her with other earth heroes if you can.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Mighty (AS) + regular

I learned what a lackadaisical means thanks to this guy. He is my spirit animal. Mighty is a student whose favorite subject is lunch.

I learned what a lackadaisical means thanks to this guy. He is my spirit animal. Mighty is a student whose favorite subject is lunch. His valor chant is superb against the magic wielders, as it reduces their intelligence. Mighty is basically a water magic hypnotizer, that’s able to protect his team and mesmerize the simple-minded, like most politicians. He only has two skills that are straightforward and they are targeting foes. Aqua Spread that’s attacking all foes and the Hypnoblizzard that’s focused on one target, but it’s much more powerful. Aqua Ruin is damaging one foe and it’s weakening his physical resistance by some low sum. Aqua Wall is great against fire teams and bosses, as it greatly increases your fire resistance and a bit of physical resistance for three turns. Freeze is doing exactly what it says, it freezes the single enemy reducing their speed and stunning them. Meditation is a buff that stacks three Hypnosis on the user and inflicts sleep. When the target awakens his HP and MP are restored and the intelligence is increased a lot. Each time a magic attack is used, the user will lose one Hypnosis and it gets a guaranteed critical hit. Mighty might not be the best choice out there, but he is great against certain foes and with certain teammates.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Yuna

Yuna is serving a weather-shifting spirit. She has the power to make it rain, but also a tiny bit of problem controlling it…

Yuna is serving a weather-shifting spirit. She has the power to make it rain, but also a tiny bit of problem controlling it. She is a healer/support who can debuff the enemy team. Yuna’s valor chant works well in most situations, as it reduces all of the enemies’ resistance, and it’s restoring your party statuses. It’s applicable in offense against any team, and in defense just in case your opponents are inflicting nasty conditions. A big plus for this girl is her MP management, as most of her skills are not mana hogs, and won’t drain you in a few turns. Let’s start with her healing powers. Maiden’s Flutter is the most basic ability that’s most efficient against foes with small aoe damage or the ones that are applying heavy dot, as it’s healing for 3 rounds, but the amount is tiny. It also restores statuses. Maiden’s Observance is somewhat more potent, but nothing great, and the Iridescent Blessing is the best option, but also the most costly. She has two attacking abilities, and they are both dealing magic damage to all foes, but it’s nothing worth mentioning. Now, Divine Utterance is a buff really worth mentioning. It increases the power and intelligence of the entire team for 3 rounds by a quarter! It’s working in most teams, so you need to take this one. She can also debuff really well with Vigorous Charm, reducing the physical resistance and the power of all enemies for three rounds, while the Malign Expulsion is a fine debuff, but only against specific foes.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Myrus

Myrus is an earth mage, proficient in targeting a single enemy with earth-based attacks as well as protecting her own party members…

“Unleash the power of the Beast!” Myrus yelled and unleashed the hounds of war! Well, she didn’t, but it would be way cooler. It’s actually her chant in all of its decibel splendor, boosting the intelligence and physical resistance of your party by a solid percentage. Myrus is an earth mage, proficient in targeting a single enemy with earth-based attacks as well as protecting her own party members. Only the Rock Spread is targeting all enemies, and it’s good at clearing the weakest foes. Rock Tower is targeting one foe while increasing your own party’s physical resistance by a small percentage for three rounds. Rock Breaker has the same DMG multiplier while reducing your foes’ earth resistance for three rounds. Earth Wall is a fine buff that increases the physical resistance of your party members by some small percentage, but it will boost their water resistance significantly for three rounds making it especially effective against the water teams. Power Heal will restore the health of your team by a substantial portion. Earthly Fortress will impact one foe and buff the physical resistance of your party for three rounds, and it doesn’t cost that much. Beastly Impact will have some more impact (pun not intended) than the Earthly Fortress, but it will reduce the enemies’ physical resist for the same number of rounds. Terra Fortress is basically the boosted version of Earthly Fortress but it also costs a bit more MP.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Shanie

Most of her attacks involve water, and they are all slash by type…

Shanie is a charismatic knight trained in the Magic Blade martial art. She has a great chant “I’m going with everything I got!” that’s boosting the intelligence and the power of her teammates by a fine percentage. Most of her attacks involve water, and they are all slash by type. Shock Slash is great for clearing batches of smaller enemies, while it’s also a solid choice for the massive fights because of the ability to stun all of the opponents. It’s a really cost-effective skill. Charming Dance will attack one enemy and reduce its water resistance for one round, but it’s stackable for up to 3 stacks. Acid Slash deals the same damage and it’s reducing his physical resist for three rounds. Twin Serpents is a slashing water ability that’s pretty straightforward, attacking a single foe. Ascension Sword is hitting a foe for some solid DMG while increasing your own power for 20% for two rounds.  Fascinating Saga is the boosted version of the Charming Dance, but it also costs a lot more MP and the Epic Tale is the ultimate version, dealing the best damage, reducing the biggest percentage of water resistance, while also being extremely costly. And the Oasis Wave is a slash that affects all foes and it has a really powerful impact.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Azami

After a knight, we have a samurai. When you think about it, samurai is actually a Japanese knight…

After a knight, we have a samurai. When you think about it, samurai is actually a Japanese knight. Azami has an awesome valor chant, that’s reducing the intelligence of all adversaries greatly diminishing their offensive potential. Most of her basic skills have a really low MP cost, while the ones on the higher tier are extremely costly. The only potential problem with her is that she doesn’t have any abilities that are affecting multiple foes. Every single one is targeting a single opponent, making her invaluable against bosses, and not so good against everyone else. Tornado Slash and Wind Slash are buffed versions of Wind Cut, which is a basic attack on one target. Flat Strike is blunt instead of slashing, and it’s inflicting stun. Hurtling Edge is decreasing the foes’ wind resist for three turns while dealing some slashing damage (no wind). Fastening Edge is a buffed version of it, decreasing the resistance by a bit more and injuring the foes by a bit more while costing a LOT more. Heavenly Dance can hurt the enemy more than your ex that left you in front of the altar. Culmination Winds is the enhanced version of Hurtling Edge and the Fastening Edge, that costs 50 MP, but it’s reducing the wind resistance by 30%…

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Ewan

He has a great party boosting chant that increases the power and the intelligence of all of his teammates by a high percentage.

Sinister weapons dealer. When I first saw his image, I thought that the guy is hanging by the trash can that has a golden lid. Close enough, I’d say. He has a great party boosting chant that increases the power and the intelligence of all of his teammates by a high percentage. You should preferably use it before nuking your enemies. Since he is wearing a hammer, you can already guess that all of his attacks are blunt and I was literally stunned when I saw that just one of his abilities is causing stun. Puissance is a regular attack that raises Ewan’s power by a bit. Revanche is an improved and much more expensive version of it. Shock Flame is one of the most interesting skills he has, as it’s the one that strikes the whole enemy team with fire blunt attack, inflicting stun in the process. It’s great for clearing small batches of enemies. Flame Break is an excellent skill that reduces the fire resistance of the enemy it hits for 3 rounds, exposing him to further incineration, while also bashing him with solid DMG. Lava Impact is really impactful ability, that can kick the living crap out of most foes, especially if they are already exposed to fire damage. Destruction is great at healing all of your team…Nah, I’m just kidding. What can a skill named Destruction do, but attack the enemy and improve your power by a nice percentage for three rounds. Use it before any of your other attacks for the best effectiveness.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Bertrand

This guy has an eyepatch, a cape made of swords that looks like angelic wings and a long black hair gliding on the wind. You can’t possibly look more badass…

This guy has an eyepatch, a cape made of swords that looks like angelic wings and a long black hair gliding on the wind. You can’t possibly look more badass. His valor chant increases the resistance to physical attacks of all party members, while also inflicting rage upon your foes. Rage works like a taunt, and all of your enemies will target Bertrand, but as he has no means of protection against magic attacks, you’ll need to use it carefully, or they could shred you to pieces easily. Try to have someone in your team to reduce their intelligence or have a supporter that can protect you against a certain element. Decoy Lance is a low-cost ability that strikes all foes and inflicts rage. This is the basic taunt that you can use whenever you are prepared to tank the enemy team. Provoking Lance is the advanced version of it, and the Guardian Lance is the best version, but it costs a lot. Shield Slam is a debuff that reduces the power of your foes by a bit, and you can stun them all. Iron Clad is a buff that increases your physical resistance by 70% for three turns! This is what you want to apply before inflicting rage upon your foes. Overbear inflicts solid damage upon one target while decreasing its power for three rounds, and it also inflicts pain and rage.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Gariyu

His valor chant is a debuff that’s reducing the opponent’s fire resistance, and as he deals a lot of fire damage it’s also great for all of his skills…

I don’t know how many of you played Skyrim, Oblivion or Morrowind, but there is a character in these games whos story reminds me of Gariyu. The NPC-s name is Umbra, and he is also traveling the lands looking for the worthy opponent to end his life in a battle. There is a tiny difference that Umbra is a warrior with a death wish, and Gariyu is a mage that just wants to burn someone worthy. His valor chant is a debuff that’s reducing the opponent’s fire resistance, and as he deals a lot of fire damage it’s also great for all of his skills. Flame Strike is one of his basic skills that works great against the weaker foes. Fire Ball (not fireball) targets a single foe, and it’s dirt cheap. Burning Shield is the only buff that Gariyu has, and it’s raising the physical resistance by some small percentage, as well as shielding your party against the wind by a huge percentage, and it lasts for 3 turns. Rapid Fire is just like an enhanced Fire Ball, and the Explosion is the best version of it, dealing huge damage to a single foe. Fiendish Flame is a bit less impactful than the Explosion, but it reduces the targets’ power as well as inflicting poison upon them. His most expensive skill is Inferno, but it’s targeting the whole team.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Morgana

Morgana is a character that can fit most teams because of its versatility. It can heal, stun, buff, debuff, poison and deal excellent damage…

As the guy from the History channel would say: “aliens!” She actually is a mysterious being that resembles a cat walking on 2 feet (paws?). His description says it’s a boy, but his name says it’s a girl. Soo, we’ll refer to it as he mostly. Whatever it is, Morgana is a character that can fit most teams because of its versatility. It can heal, stun, buff, debuff, poison and deal excellent damage. Its valor chant that increases earth resistance to all of your party members is useful only under the specific conditions, although the percentage is great. Mahagaru is the basic elemental attack Morgana has, it’s a wind magic attack that attacks all enemies and deals some bonus DMG if the targets are inflicted with poison. Media will heal the health of all party members but not at a high rate. It’s also dirt cheap. Mediarama is an enhanced version of Media, doubling the healing rate, but also the cost by almost three times. Mahasukunda is a debuff, not a very potent one, but it reduces power, speed, and intelligence for 3 rounds. There are far better debuffs out there. Wind High Booster is a buff that will boost the wind attacks by a high amount, but it lasts only for a round. Miracle Punch is a devastating attack that targets one foe inflicting stun in the process and it has a 100% chance to score a critical. Mahagarula strikes all foes damaging them even further in case the targets have poison upon them. Mahagarudain is an improved version of it basically. What have we learned then? Morgana is best when combined with Suzzete or other characters that can inflict poison.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Amy

She really looks like an angry MMA fighter, and she trains a lot, so beware…

This girl will beat you like a drunken dad after a bad poker night with his homies. Jokes aside, she really looks like an angry MMA fighter, and she trains a lot, so beware. Her valor chant is “I won’t lose no matter what”, and that’s how serious she is. The chant is great btw, it will increase the power and speed of all party members by solid round percentage for one round, but enough to boost your team long enough to nuke with what you have. Smash Down is her basic ability that targets one opponent and causes a concussion, I mean stun. Double Down is an improved version of it, and the Triple Down is the most improved version of it. They are all blunt type ofc. She has a phenomenal self-buff called Charge Stance, it increases her power greatly for three turns. Wind Smash is similar to the Smash Down, with a difference that it doesn’t inflict stun and it’s a wind type, even the cost is the same. Double Hurricane is an improved version of it. Blast Elysium is dealing some solid wind damage and it boosts your next attack to 100% critical, setting you up to some really devastating scenarios. With Amy everything revolves around timing your skills the right way. Take care of what to use first, second, third and you can make some devastating combos. Of course, take care of her mana management, that’s where she is the thinnest.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Shion (+ AS)

Excellent for boss battles, as all of his skills target one foe, but he is bad at any fights with multiple foes…

Shion is a samurai that loves cats and always keeps the cat treats close at him for his furry friends. Although he seems cold he is a nice person. How else can he love cats this much, right?

Excellent for boss battles, as all of his skills target one foe, but he is bad at any fights with multiple foes. Also, it’s best to combine him with other heroes that depend on fire-based abilities as he can debuff the enemies’ fire resistance. You can of course also combine him with other slashers, as he also reduces the physical resistance by a high margin. It’s all up to you. Itto-Ryu: Flash is one of his basic skills, attacking one foe and reducing its physical resistance by some small percentage for three turns. Itto-Ryu: Storm is its successor, attacking for some more DMG and reducing the physical resist for 5% more. Itto-Ryu: Dragon is its final form, adding some more DMG and further reducing the resist by 5%. At the great MP cost, mind it. Fire Cut does exactly what the name suggests, and it costs just a bit of MP. Light Shower can inflict poison and that’s the only reason we will mention it. Ever again. Ember Swallow is the enhanced variant of Fire Cut, and Phoenix Slash is its ultimate form, dealing heavy damage, but also costing as much MP. Scarlet Tengu is already mentioned as the means of reducing the opponents’ fire resistance by a quarter for three rounds. Another costly ability. Put him in the right team, as mentioned above and this guy can slice and dice most foes to sushi bits.

Laclair (+AS)

She is a straightforward ranger, attacking foes with every single skill, not having any buffs or debuffs except through hitting enemies.

Laclair is a dragon slayer with the highest reputation, as she’s been training for it her whole life. It’s said that she is hunting for one particular dragon for a year, but it’s a mystery why him, or why for that long. Laclair’s valor chant is reducing the physical resistance and power of all foes. She is a straightforward ranger, attacking foes with every single skill, not having any buffs or debuffs except through hitting enemies. Let’s start with the basics. Aqua Shot is the most basic ability, hitting one adversary and dealing water damage. Splash Arrow is an improved version of it, dealing a bit more DMG, but costing almost a double MP. Dragon Hand is the ultimate version of it, dealing huge water damage, but it costs a lot. She also has a Dragon Arrow, that reduces the targets’ physical resist for three rounds but not by much really. It also inflicts poison upon the target. It’s improved version is called Dragon Shot (shocking) and it’s really costly. The enhanced version of it is really excellent as it also improves your power and speed for 3 rounds. Then we have a Twin Shot that’s just a basic piercing attack. Dragon Music is another great skill, especially as the enhanced version will inflict megapoison that ignores resistance, and it will further weaken their physical resist. As Shion, Leclair excels against a single foe and doesn’t do so well against multiple adversaries.

Toova (AS)

She is, naturally, a necromancer, summoning the dead and controlling them…

The girl that looks like the death’s bride. She is, naturally, a necromancer, summoning the dead and controlling them. Toova’s valor chant is useful only against some particular compositions and bosses, as it increases the water resistance of your teammates. She has extreme damage buff through Dark Deal, increasing her intelligence by an extreme percentage while also purely boosting her DMG as a bonus. It only lasts for one turn, so it’s great preparation for nuking, but you need to think through when is the most correct moment to apply it. Let me lead you through her skill set. Venom is self-explanatory and it will inflict poison upon the foe (should be venom, but let’s not get technical). Rock Spread is a great option against the mass of petty adversaries that you need to clear quickly, just mind that its earth attack. Soul Grief is also earth-based and it will restore your health while attacking, making it kinda life-stealing ability. Ghostly Whisper is the better version of it, and of course, more costly. Spiritual Utterance stacks Underworld Lanterns on the user, which can be stacked up to three times and they give the user increased physical resistance. Besides, it will allow you to perform earth-based attacks at the end of turn based on the number of stacks you have. Best for the last. Requiem Bouquet will target one opponent and it will consume one Underworld Lantern to deal exceptional damage against the target.

Isuka

Isuka has only one buff and the rest of her skill set is pretty straightforward – search and destroy…

All these girls with katanas are chasing after something, and I hope for its sake that they won’t find it, coz most of them look angry. Isuka has only one buff and the rest of her skill set is pretty straightforward – search and destroy. She is exceptionally good at teams that deal mostly slashing, and use a power attribute or need pain inflicted upon the foe to deal bonus DMG. Her chant is a fine choice against the team or a boss with a lot of magic damage, as it reduces power and intelligence. The most basic skill that she has is Wind Cut, that has a miserable cost, but you can expect the same results. Fragile Dream attacks one target, it reduces its speed by a low margin for three turns and it inflicts pain. It’s improved form is Feeble Dream, slashing for some bonus DMG and reducing speed by 5% more, while costing double the MP. Butterfly’s Dream is the ultimate form of it, and it’s one of the most expensive skills in the game. Lunar Laceration is one of the good opening attacks, as it reduces the slash resistance of the enemy, opening them for all of the future hits. Tearing Flicker is an excellent choice for clearing the waves of small enemies, as it doesn’t cost much and it’s pretty effective. Hastening Melody is the only buff Isuka has, boosting the power and speed of all party members for three turns. Great buff, even if used only as a self-buff. Utopia is the most powerful tool in Isuka’s shed, hitting all targets, and if you have the enhanced version, it will deal even more DMG to targets with pain and other debuffs.

Tsukiha

Valor chant that Tsukisha has is not something to write home about, but it can somewhat open the enemies to heavy attacks, as it reduces their fire and slash absorption…

It’s not like we are forcing the girls with katanas on this list, I swear! It’s just that they are really good, so we can’t overlook it. Although most of them are alike and are basically a variation of one another, they deserve a high position on the list. Tsukisha has a standard story, she is angry and seeks revenge against people who destroyed her country. Valor chant that Tsukisha has is not something to write home about, but it can somewhat open the enemies to heavy attacks, as it reduces their fire and slash absorption. She has a monstrous debuff that reduces the physical resistance of all enemies by half for three turns! This can set them up really nicely for your own teammates, so they can nuke extremely hard, in case you keep it physical. Her first ability is Shadow Slash, and it’s just a basic attack at the single target. Warming Frisk is another basic ability that deals the same damage as the Shadow Slash, but it also has a stackable reducing of the fire resistance. It has two improved versions of itself, the first one being the Roasting Romp, and it’s a bit stronger than the basic, and the ultimate – Scalding Serenade that is extraordinary not for dealing some brutally high DMG, but for its high and stackable fire resistance, exposing the enemies to some serious nuking with every hit. Unburdened Embers can also set up some nice combos if you combine it well with other skills, as it improves the critical rate of your next hit. One of them is using Cogitated Deluge right after as it can heal you by a really high margin while it also has a heavy impact upon the enemy team.

Cetie

Since he is a spear wielder, all of his attacks are, naturally, piercing with fire elements here and there…

Cetie is an agent with a strong sense of justice. He has a black and white pod following him anywhere and helping him with his investigations. Since he is a spear wielder, all of his attacks are, naturally, piercing with fire elements here and there. His valor chant is “for justice” and it’s good for countering the enemies with high magic attacks, while also reducing their speed in the process. You might have heard of another character chanting the same thing – Arthas… Cetie’s basic ability is Seeker Lance, piercing one foe and reducing his Int by some small margin for 3 turns. A better form of this is Analysis Lance as it has even more piercing attack while reducing the enemy’s intelligence by a bit more. It also has a double cost. Striking Lance is attacking one target reducing its piercing resistance, for two turns, so it’s a good opening skill. Retro’s Gift is a fire piercing attack that targets all opponents and it’s great for clearing batches of small enemies. You can also reduce the fire resistance of the enemy through Tri-assault exposing them even further. Blaze impact should be used as soon as possible as it will boost you for three turns while also heavily damaging one opponent. Vigilant Lance is basically a boosted version of Analysis Lance, which is exceptionally good against magic bosses.

Anabel

Anabel is a well-known paladin that’s on the life mission to destroy all beasts because they destroyed her village and killed everyone when she was just a girl. Not a cliche at all. She doesn’t have a game-changing valor chant, but it can be useful in some particular situations. In case the enemy has some heavy impact champion you can time it right and get away barely scratched. As Anabel is a Paladin, she needs to heal and protect, right? Elemental Wall is protecting your team against a certain element for three turns while also giving them a regeneration, restoring their health gradually. Guardian Soul is a buff that will protect your team as much as the valor chant, but for three rounds. Like chant itself, it has limited usage and will mostly be usable by the Anabel. His cheapest and weakest form of attack is through Aqua Slash, targeting one foe. Its improved version is Splash Sword, which is just a bit stronger. As Bertrand, Anabel can also inflict rage upon the enemy, taunting them in the process. She can do it through Brilliant Blow, also reducing their power. There is also a bit better version of it called Knight’s Pride. Holy Saber is a fine skill in its normal form, but it becomes indispensable when enhanced, as it inflicts rage, and it will restore the MP of his allies whenever he is targeted by magic. Oh, and it reduces the intelligence of all enemies for 3 rounds. Last, but not least he has a Deliverance Sword that is the ultimate version of Brilliant Blow and Knight’s Pride, but it also has an extremely steep cost of casting.

Philo

He is a woodcutter that came from the future but doesn’t have any trees to cut because authorities won’t let him…

Philo has a great backstory. He is a woodcutter that came from the future but doesn’t have any trees to cut because authorities won’t let him. Now he is a woodcutter that’s worried he will never be able to cut any woods ever again. On top of it all, he was aiming to become the strongest woodcutter in the world. Even his chant is “I will be the best woodcutter ever!” How is he holding that axe is beyond me. Most of his attacks are water-based, and every single one is slashing by the type. Try to combine him with other characters that wield an ax, as a lot of his attacks boost the character that uses the ax. His first skill, Sprout of Hope is targeting one enemy character and it boosts your allies that wield an ax by 20% for two turns. Genius of Wisdom is further improving the DMG dealt and the ax boost for other characters, while the Fruits of Desire is its final form that can seriously harm the enemy and boost your ax allies even further, but it comes at high MP cost.  Aqua Slash is an attack that most other water characters have when you think about it. It’s just a water based slash attack. Consolateur attacks all enemies and restores the health of your party by some small percentage. It’s good for clearing the smaller batches of enemies. Fontaine is a symbolic ability that improves the water attack of your party members for three rounds. Espoir Rose is kinda expensive buff that restores the MP of your party members (a rare ability), while also increasing their type resistance. Grand Arbre is it’s “ultimate” ability, attacking all enemies and boosting the critical chance of your party members. It’s great for opening fights.

Shigure is a child of the katana master that has his own school of sword martial arts. The rumor is that he already surpassed his father. “Gaze upon my sword dance” is his valor chant and it’s not this great to be honest. It will boost the power of all your party members and increase their physical resistance. He doesn’t have the Aqua Slash, but he has a Water Cut that is just a basic water attack. Itto-Ryu: Dazzle reduces the power of the enemy it hits for three turns, but the amount is truly miserable. Itto-Ryu: Hail is it’s improved form, and it has the standard 40% improvement as well as reducing the power for just a bit more. It’s ultimate form is Itto-Ryu: Tiger and while it also increases all of the basic stats it improves your critical rate by 100% for one turn. You need to be mindful when you are using it, as it costs 55MP and it’s one of the most costly abilities in the game. Izayoi is useful if you have teammates that deal extra DMG to the targets inflicted with pain. Strike of Fall Leaves is good as the means to weaken your enemy before slicing them to pieces. Azure Yaksha is good for clearing waves of smaller enemies as well as reducing the enemy team’s intelligence for three turns, effectively protecting you and your teammates from magic harm. Fervent Qilin Slash can be exceptionally harmful if you set it upright. Reduce your enemy resistances, make your next attack a sure critical and boooom! The only thing you need to care a lot when it comes to Shigure is his MP management.

Biaka

Biaka is a special force member of unsurpassed skill. She specializes in self buffs and wind blunt attacks that can further weaken your foes…

I don’t know why every hammer in this game reminds me of a trash can attached to a pole. One seen it can’t be unseen. According to her story in the game, Biaka is a special force member of unsurpassed skill. She specializes in self buffs and wind blunt attacks that can further weaken your foes. Her valor chant is one of the best in Another Eden, as it reduces the intelligence of your opponents while boosting the power of your party members. Usually, chants do one of those things, and that’s what makes it so great. Wind Smash is a basic attack that is dirty cheap and pretty useless. Uberfall is reducing the Wind resistance of the enemy, setting him up for combos for a few rounds. He has the improved and the more costly form called Scheinangriff, and of course, the ultimate form called Gegenangriff that’s extremely costly but very effective. Shock Blitz is a fine tool to attack all enemies and cause the stun. Effective against those smaller batches. Windstoss is a cheap buff, but it only boosts yourself for two rounds but at least it boosts both the speed and power. Sturmmacht (damn you and your german words, I couldn’t spell them if my life depended on it), deals solid damage and it boosts your wind attacks for the next three rounds. Dreiflugel (a thousand curses upon you) is a buff that boosts your power and hugely buffs your next attack, so if you use it the right way you can bash someone to a pulp. Like most other heroes he has quite the problem with mana management, take care of how you are using your skills.

Claude

He is a perfectly mannered young lad and an impeccable student. Claude is actually a ranger that’s good at uplifting his allies and weakening his adversaries…

Claude is a prince (I thought it’s a princess when I first saw his image) of a fallen land, that strives to restore his motherland. He is a perfectly mannered young lad and an impeccable student. Claude is actually a ranger that’s good at uplifting his allies and weakening his adversaries. His valor chant isn’t all that bad, as it debuffs the enemy team’s speed and power at the same time. There are far better chants, but it’s not too shabby. Wind Shot is the standard basic ability. Cheap and ineffective. Kelkale’s Honor is another of its basic abilities that will debuff both the Int and power of one opponent by an insignificant margin. Of course, it has 2 other forms, Kelkale’s Glory is the advanced one and the Forefather is its ultimate form that can hurt really bad while also inflicting a solid debuff to both power and Int. Arrow Shower is attacking all enemies while restoring your party members, and I consider it one of Claude’s core abilities. The other great ability in certain teams would be Acute Inciting. It boosts the speed and intelligence of every party member for two turns, and it’s dirt cheap. However, it’s best used in the magic-based teams. His core damaging ability would be Stormbite as it attacks all enemies for respectable damage and it also reduces their piercing resist, but the best thing is that it’s stackable up to three times. After the stacks pile up it will dish out outstanding amounts of damage.
