There are 4 SMG-s in total in PUBG Mobile. They are easy to encounter as soon as you drop in most areas. They are most useful then, because their damage is rather low, combined with the low range. After most people get to level two and three equipment, SMG-s become almost obsolete. The guilt lies mostly on the ammo these weapons are using. Two of them use the 9mm ammo, while the other two use 0.45. It’s the pistol ammo. What does the SMG have, that most guns don’t? The rate of fire. Vector and the UZI in particular. This allows you to shred the enemy in close ranges, without breaking a sweat.

“Spray your ammo but beware to not shoot yourself in the foot.” This line perfectly describes the weapon.

Uzi is using (ha!) the 9 mm ammo and has a 25 round magazine. It has THE best rate of fire in the game, shooting 1250 rounds per minute. In other words, you can empty a full magazine in 1.2 seconds of automatic fire! On the other hand, the damage of each round is extremely low, and the effective range of Uzi is around 15 meters. The other important thing to notice is the recoil. If you try shooting a full auto, the way this gun is supposed to be shot, good luck not killing yourself, a random stranger or a bird unlucky to fly around at the wrong time.

The Uzi is only good for one thing, clearing the rooms at the very beginning of the game, right after you enter the first buildings. After the enemies get any Vest the Uzi becomes obsolete. It will take too long to kill anyone, and plus the range is awful.

UMP9

UMP9 is right the in the middle of SMGs and Assault rifles. It has a solid rate of fire, a good range for SMG and the solid damage of the assault rifle.

It’s using the 9mm rounds, with the 30 rounds in a magazine. Damage is good enough for SMG and the effective range is around 40 meters. Although the rate of fire is awful when you compare it to the other SMGs, it is still awesome. One thing that this weapon has is an awesome stability. It has a burst fire mode but you don’t even have to use it. Go to full auto and see for yourself. You can easily shoot at the enemy 30m away on automatic fire and hit most of the time. That’s the reason this weapon stands out.

If you get all of the attachments including a silencer, this weapon becomes a strong contender to use in the last few minutes of the round.

Tommy gun or the Thompson has developed a hundred years ago. It became famous during the prohibition in the USA, where it was used as the favorite weapon of both the criminals and the police. It solidified its role in the WW2, where it was used by the Allied forces.

In the game, the Tommy stands out in a few areas as the SMG. It’s using the 0.45 ammo, sharing it with the Vector. Now listen to the sweet part: the magazine can hold a hundred rounds at a time! Beside the M249 this is by far the biggest magazine in the game. It means no reload at all, maybe once if you are heavy on the trigger. The damage is highest amongst the SMG-s – 38 to the foe with no protection. The range is also solid for an SMG. The rate of fire is fine, 700 rpm, and it has 2 firing modes – single and auto.

When you look at the raw stats it is obvious that the gun will outclass any other SMG by far. What’s the catch? The weapon can hold only one attachment, unlike some other weapons with 3 and 4. You can’t improve it much, although this weapon is really powerful even without any add-ons.

This gun is too weak compared to the other SMGs. The main reason for it is a 13 round magazine, which you can empty in 0.7 seconds. A shocker. If you don’t manage to kill an enemy in that quick burst you are doomed. This is what bothers me the most about the gun. That and the range which is low even for an SMG – it falls down after 15 meters…I know the other SMGs doesn’t have much range but this is ridiculous. Damage is 31 per round, so when you combine it with the rate of fire, which is awesome, you get a powerful burst. If you manage to hit a foe that is. Another good thing about the gun beside the rate of fire is the stability, the gun doesn’t have much recoil and it’s not hard to use. The gun has a useless perk to shoot in burst mode. I don’t think you’ll achieve anything with it, stay on full auto. At the range this gun is being used, the burst fire mode is not needed.
