Welcome to Raid Shadow Legends Guide. This Guide will explain all aspects of the game and will provide you with the most important information needed in your journey through this great game. Raid Shadow Legends Guide will be divided into 3 sections. We will first talk about Heroes and their upgrading mechanics, then we will talk about gear, and lastly, we will explain every game segment in the Battle menu. Our goal is to unite all facts about the game in one Raid Shadow Legends Guide which will become a useful tool for every new player.
The main goal in Raid Shadow Legend is to obtain and upgrade as many Heroes as possible since literally every hero can be an invaluable asset for a certain game segment.
There are 13 factions divided into 4 alliances and every faction has up to 52 different characters. Each of these characters can be summoned, leveled, geared and upgraded. Alliances and Factions are:
- Banner lords (4 Common Champions, 6 Uncommon, 11 Rare, 7 Epic, 8 Legendary).
- High Elves (3 Uncommon Champions, 8 Rare, 9 Epic, 8 Legendary).
- The Sacred Order (4 Common Champions, 10 Uncommon, 14 Rare, 16 Epic, 7 Legendary).
- Barbarians (9 Uncommon Champions, 12 Rare, 9 Epic, 3 Legendary).
- Ogryn Tribes (5 Uncommon Champions, 9 Rare, 8 Epic, 5 Legendary).
- Lizardmen (1 Common Champion, 4 Uncommon, 10 Rare, 6 Epic, 3 Legendary).
- Skinwalkers (2 Uncommon Champions, 6 Rare, 7 Epic, 4 Legendary).
- Orcs (1 Common Champion, 3 Uncommon, 11 Rare, 8 Epic, 3 Legendary).
- Demonspawn Skinwalkers (4 Uncommon Champions, 9 Rare, 8 Epic, 7 Legendary).
- Undead Hordes (3 Common Champions, 4 Uncommon, 13 Rare, 10 Epic, 6 Legendary).

How many hero categories are there in RAID Shadow Legends?
As you can see there are around 400 different characters at the moment, divided into 5 quality categories – Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Those quality categories are represented by the number of yellow stars on each Champion. Besides that, Heroes are also divided by their affinity. Affinities are Magic, Force, Spirit, and Void. Magic is strong against Spirit, Spirit is strong against Force, Force is strong against Magic and Void is neutral.
All actions related to the promotion of the Champions are performed in the Tavern. The Tavern is unlocked at Level 6 and it can grant XP to your Heroes aside from battling in Dungeons and Campaign. There are 4 actions which can be performed in Tavern:
All of the characters can be leveled up in the Upgrade Level tab. There are two ways to do that:
By sacrificing other characters you don’t need,
Or by giving XP Brew to selected Heroes.
Giving Brew is far more efficient since it provides Heroes with more XP but sometimes it is recommended to make space in your roster and the best way to do that is just to sacrifice Lvl 1. uncommon characters. Of course, Heroes with higher rank and higher-level grant more XP but it is highly unlikely you will be in a position to sacrifice leveled character for XP. Brew or Character with the same affinity as selected character will grant bonus XP.
Every hero can be upgraded to a higher Rank if you maximize their level and spend resources needed for an upgrade. The quality category will remain the same but the Hero will receive another yellow star meaning that he/she can be leveled to a higher level than before, automatically receiving better base statistics. Every new Rank requires gradually more upgrading resources and therefore more time. The maximum level for every Champion is level 60. The number of yellow stars, Maximum level, and requirements for upgrading Rank is described in the list below:
- Rank 1 – 1 yellow star, Max Level – 10; 1 character or roasted chicken with 1 yellow star are needed for upgrading to next Rank.
- Rank 2 – 2 yellow stars, Max Level – 20; 2 characters or roasted chickens with 2 yellow stars are needed for upgrading to next Rank.
- Rank 3 – 3 yellow stars, Max Level – 30; 3 characters or roasted chickens with 3 yellow stars are needed for upgrading to next Rank.
- Rank 4 – 4 yellow stars, Max Level – 40; 4 characters or roasted chickens with 4 yellow stars are needed for upgrading to next Rank.
- Rank 5 – 5 yellow stars, Max Level – 50; 5 characters or roasted chickens with 5 yellow stars are needed for upgrading to next Rank.
- Rank 6 – 6 yellow stars and Level 60 are maximum that can be reached in the game currently.
The skills of every Hero can be upgraded up to 6 levels. Common improvements are cooldown reduction, damage increases and a higher chance of applying Buff or Debuff.
Reaching the full potential of the Champions usually means that you maximize the level of their skills but that is not an easy task since you will have to use Tomes of suitable rarity (which are very rare) or by sacrificing duplicate character. There are 3 different Tomes in-game – Rare, Epic and Legendary:
Common, Uncommon and Rare Heroes can use all Tomes, Epic Heroes can use Epic and Legendary Tomes and Legendary Heroes can use only Legendary Tomes. You have no control over which skill will be upgraded, you can only use the tome and see the effect of the upgrade:
How do you ascend champions in RAID Shadow Legends?
Champions can be ascended in the Ascend tab. Ascending helps them realize their potential and provides improvements ranging from higher base Stats and Skills upgrades to entirely new Skills. A current Level of Ascension is indicated by the number of purple stars on their profile. The maximum number of times a character can be Ascended is limited by their Rank. Depending on Rank, Champion can be Ascended up to 6 times.
For Ascending a Champion you will need specific Affinity Potions and Affinity-neutral Arcane Potions. By selecting them you will see the number of potions you need for the next Ascending level. Potions can be found in Potion Dungeons or it can be bought at the Shop. There are 3 types of potions for every Affinity – lesser, greater and superior. In potion mixer you can combine lower grade potions to produce higher grade:
- 1 superior potion = 10 greater potions = 100 lesser potions
- 1 greater potion = 10 lesser potions
There is a Dungeon for each Affinity potion, but only Arcane Dungeon is opened every day while other Dungeons are opened 2 days a week.
Characters can be acquired via summoning, as Login rewards, and as Campaign Rewards.
Summoning is performed by using Summoning Shards. There are 4 types of Summoning Shards:
- Mystery Shard – Common, Uncommon, and Rare Champions can be summoned.
- Ancient Shard – Rare, Epic, and Legendary Champions can be summoned.
- Void Shard – Rare, Epic, and Legendary Champions with Void Affinity can be summoned.
- Sacred Shard – Epic, and Legendary Champions can be summoned.
One Free Mystery Shard is granted every day while one free Ancient Shard is available once per week. Void and Sacred shards are much harder to obtain unless you are prepared to spend real money on Special Offers at the Shop.
It is obvious that it is impossible to focus on acquiring certain characters with current summoning chances, so be sure to have as many different level characters as possible, in order to be able to use any Epic or Legendary Hero once you obtain them eventually.
The next section of the Raid Shadow Legends Guide is Gear.
Every Champion has 9 gear slots and each slot can be equipped with a certain piece of Gear which will increase its basic stats. When fully geared with appropriate equipment character can be several times stronger than without a gear, indicating that equipment is at least equally as important as leveling or upgrading.
In Raid Shadow Legends equipment is called Artifacts.
Artifacts come in a different Rank and Rarity that highly influence the quality of Artifact. There are 6 Ranks and 5 different qualities (similar to Champions). Artifacts have primary stats influenced by Rank, and substats influenced by quality (rarity). The higher the quality, the more substats artifact has:
- Common Artifact – 0 substats
- Uncommon Artifact – 1 substats
- Rare Artifact – 2 substats
- Epic Artifact – 3 substats
- Legendary Artifact – 4 substats
Every Artifact can be upgraded up to level 16 on Champions Screen. Upgrading Artifact will increase its primary stats while every 4th level will increase one of substats. The price and success chance of every Upgrade will gradually increase and decrease with every level.
Artifacts can also be enchanted with Glyphs. Each Glyph can increase one of the artifact’s substats. Glyphs can be farmed in Faction Crypts.
On the picture below, you can see possible stats and substats for every piece of equipment:
Every Piece of Gear is a part of certain Artifact Set. Artifact Set provides you with additional bonuses if you have enough artifacts equipped from the same set. Some Artifact Sets requires 2 items from the same set while other Artifact Sets requires 4 items.
Life (2 Items) – +15% HP. Basic set, best suitable for Champions whose damage is based on their max HP.
Offense (2 items) – +15% ATK. Usable by all damage dealers and characters whose healing is based on their ATK.
Defense (2 items) – +15% DEF. Ideal for Tanks and damage dealers whose damage is beased on their DEF.
Critical Rate (2 items) – +12% Critical Rate. Useful for almost all but especially for characters whose skills apply debuffs on critical strikes.
Accuracy Life (2 Items) – +40 ACC. Very important set needed by anyone capable of debuffing an opponent.
Speed (2 Items) – +12 % Speed. Speed determines the turn order in battle, which is extremely important in Arena where the entire battle can be decided in the first few turns. Also, ideal for characters whose damage will benefit from extra Speed.
Resistance (2 Items) – +40 Resist. Important for all Heroes who needs to avoid debuffs such as healers, cleansers or debuffers. This set is usually used as secondary set to complement primary set.
Critical Damage (2 Items) – +20% Critical Damage. Ideal for characters that can reliably crit with their skills.
Lifesteal Set (4 Items) – Heals the Champion for 30% of inflicted damage. One of the most useful sets in the game since it enables the player to battle and live much longer. The effects of this set are cumulative with the lifesteal skill effect which is not the case with other artifact sets.
Destroy Set (4 Items) – decreases the target’s MAX HP by 30% of the damage dealt by the user. Ideal against Tanks and boss. MAX HP cannot be decreased by more than 8% with each attack and this effect is applied only once when using a Skill, meaning that multiple strikes skills will not decrease MAX HP more than once.
Retaliation (4 Items) – 25% chance to Counterattack when attacked by an enemy. This set is ideal for all tanky Champions that can apply debuffs with their basic attacks (Counterattack is always a basic attack). Especially useful for Tanks capable of applying Provoke with basic strikes.
Fury (4 Items) – +5% Damage for every 10% HP lost. Stack to up to 25%. Another set which is good for tanks. Cumulative with the similar Passive Ability.
Curing (4 Items) – Increases the value of Healing done by Champion by 10%. Useful set for all heroes that provide healing for the team. This set is not cumulative with Lifesteal bonuses.
Reflex (4 Items) – grants 30% chance to reduce the cooldown on one of the skills (completely random) by 1 turn. This set is ideal for hereos that have 1 basic skill, 1 active skill and one passive skill because it will always lower the cooldown of the most important skill (basic skills and passive skills does not have cooldown).
Cursed (4 Items) – grants 50% chance of applying 50% Heal Reduction debuff for 1 turn after each attack. Best used in Arena on Champions possessing multiple AOE skills.
Toxic (4 Items) – grants 50% chance of applying Poison debuff for 2 turns after each attack. Poison debuff decreases the portion of MAX HP which is ideal against Bosses and High HP opponents. This set is cumulative with skills that have a chance to apply Poison.
Frost (4 Items) – grants 20% chance of applying a Freeze debuff for 1 turn when attacked by an enemy. Ideal in the Arena for heroes who has Provoke or Taunt.
Daze (4 Items) – grants 25% chance of applying Sleep debuff for 1 turn after each attack. This set is best used by hereos that have several AOE skills. Keep in mind that if you attack a targets with Sleep debuff they will no longer be under the effect of Sleep.
Immunity (4 Items) – grants a Block Debuff buff to the user for 2 turns at the start of every round. Especially useful in the Arena against teams with High Speed. Literally every hero can benefit from this set in PVP.
Avenging (4 Items) – grants 30% chance to Counterattack after receiving a critical hit. This set is similar to retaliation Set but it works only after critical strikes. In short, there is a better chance to counterattack with Retaliation set even it has only 25% chance to retaliate, therefore avoid farming this set.
Shield (4 Items) – grants Shield buff equal to 30% of user’s MAX HP to all allies for 3 turns at the start of each Round. This mighty set is best equipped on heroes with high MAX HP. If two or more Heroes have this set, the Shield bonus is stackable meaning that the buff will provide 30% of MAX HP of all heroes wearing this set. Amazing, isn’t it?
Stalwart (4 Items) – decreases received AOE damage by 30%. This set can be used on Champions that are fighting against Dungeon Bosses with powerful AOE damage.
Frenzy (4 Items) – The wearer’s turn Meter will increase by 8% for every 7% HP lost from each enemy’s attack. This set is very useful in lot of situations. It can help your Champion attack more than once per round or it can speed up much needed healing from your healer. The real benefit of this set can only be explained by utilizing it in multiple battles.
Regeneration (4 Items) – restores 10% of user’s HP at the start of each turn. Regeneration Set is ideal for any Tank in any situation. This passive heal can change the tide of the battle when you least expect it.
Stun (4 Items) – grants 18% chance of applying Stun after each strike. This set should be given to Champions with multiple AOE attacks to maximize the chance of applying the most powerful debuff in Raid Shadow Legends. Stun is very important in the Arena where every turn counts.
Relentless (4 Items) – grants user 18% chance of another turn immediately after using their turn. Having a free turn is amazing in every segment of Raid Shadow Legends. You’ll never know when a free turn might turn the tide of a battle which would otherwise be lost.
Savage (4 Items) – ignores 25% of opponents DEF with every attack. This set greatly increases the damage output of every damage dealer. It is cumulative with other skills or effects of the same type.
Taunting (4 Items) – grants 30% chance of applying Provoke with every strike. Obviously, this is a tanking set but it can also be used on Champions who can Counterattack.
Cruel (2 Items) – ATK +15% and ignores 5% of the enemy DEF. This set can only be obtained as a Clan Boss reward and it is a mix of Offense and Savage set. Every damage dealer with this set will be significantly stronger.
Immortal (2 Items) – HP +15%. Restores 3% of MAX HP every turn. This is also a set that can be farmed only in Clan Boss fights. As a mix of Life and Regeneration set it is a nice addition to all tanks and supporters.
Divine Life (2 Items) – HP +15%. Grants Shield to the user equal to 15% of user’s MAX HP for 3 turns at the start of combat. This set is available only in the Arena chests. This is a mix of Life and Shield set and it is ideal for all survival-oriented Champions.
Divine Offense (2 Items) – ATK +15%. Grants Shield to the user equal to 15% of user’s MAX HP for 3 turns at the start of combat. Only available in the Arena chests this set is mix of Offense and Shield set. Ideal for damage dealers.
Divine Critical (2 Items) – Critical Rate + 12%. Grants Shield to the user equal to 15% of user’s MAX HP for 3 turns at the start of combat. Only available in the Arena chests this set is mix of Critical Rate and Shield set. Best used on Champions in need of better critical chance.
Divine Speed (2 Items) – Speed + 12%. Grants Shield to the user equal to 15% of user’s MAX HP for 3 turns at the start of combat. Only available in the Arena chests this set is mix of Speed and Shield set. This set is ideal for any Champion used in the Arena.
Accessories are not part of any set but each accessory provides additional bonuses for a Champion. For equipping Ring, Champion must have 4 yellow stars. Amulet requires that Champion is ascended to 5th purple star, while the banner requires 6 purple stars. Accessories are divided by factions, meaning that Hero can equip Accessory only if it is from their faction. Upgrades and enchants works the same as with other artifacts.
Artifacts can be obtained in Campaign Missions, Dungeons or bought at the Market.
Campaign Missions are ideal for the beginning since there you can farm specific items on Mission Stages where you can see possible drops. However, unlike Dungeons, Campaign Missions cannot provide you with high-quality artifacts.
Ice Golem’s Peak, Dragon’s Lair, and Fire Knight’s Castle are Dungeons that award you with artifacts. Different Artifact Sets are granted in each Dungeon so it is important to learn possible drops before grinding. On the picture below you can see the available Artifact Sets in all 3 Dungeons
Artifacts can also be bought in the Market for silver. Rank, quality and set of the items that can appear in the Market is totally random, so it is wise to check Market regularly because it is possible to find some pieces of the equipment you need there.
Some Artifacts can be obtained only in Clan Boss reward chests or in the Arena reward chests. Those Artifacts are improved versions on basic Artifacts so it is of utmost importance that you participate in Clan Boss fights and Arena battles every day.
The final topic in Raid Shadow Legends Guide will explain all of the functions of the Battle menu.
When you click on the Battle button you will see a Battle Screen with 5 different game modes and we will talk about each mode separately.
How long is the RAID Shadow Legends campaign?
The Campaign follows the main game storyline. It has 12 missions with 7 stages in each mission. Every stage has 3 waves of opponents except the last stage in each mission. These contain the Boss at the end. Completing stages awards you with one, two or three stars:
- 1 star – Completing the stage
- 2 stars – Completing the stage without losing a character
- 3 stars – Completing the stage with two or fewer characters in 10 minutes without losing a character.
Earned stars are counted towards additional rewards and special rewards if you earn all possible stars. Besides that, every stage has a chance to award you with a piece of gear from a certain Artifact Set depending on the missions. The Boss stage has a chance to even provide you with characters and Shards. When you complete the Campaign you can increase the difficulty for better stage rewards and new star rewards. There are 3 difficulty levels – normal, hard, and brutal. Here is the list of all missions and Bosses affinities with appropriate Artifacts Set drops and Rare Champion drops on Normal difficulty:
- Kaerok Castle (Magic) – Life set, Valerie, Conquer
- Sewers of Arnoc (Force) – Offense set, Skullsworn
- Catacombs of Narbuk (Spirit) – Defense set, Sorceress
- Durham Forest (Magic) – Critical Rate set, Spirithost, Graybeard
- Felwin’s Gate (Force) – Accuracy set, Rocktooth
- Palace of Aravia (Spirit) – Speed set, Heiress, Avenger
- Tilshire (Magic) – Resistance set, Goremask
- Valdemar Strait (Void) – Lifesteal set, Templar
- The Deadlands (Spirit) – Destroy set, Berserker
- Godfrey’s Crossing (Magic) – Retaliation set, Muckstalker
- Hallowed Halls (Force) – Fury set, Executioner
- Brimstone Path (Spirit) – Curing set, Hound Spawn, Diabolist
Campaign stages are the ideal place for leveling characters and grinding fodder characters. There is an option to perform up to 15 battles in a row once per day (Multi-Battle) which is a fast way to grind or level up. Keep in mind that the max level characters will be replaced automatically in Multi-Battle.
Campaign battles require up to 4 characters but if you want to earn the maximum number of stars you will have to use no more than 2 characters on each stage. Best characters for Campaign are the ones with multiple AOE attacks because that is the fastest way to quickly clear enemy waves without losing HP. You will have to use different characters equipped with Lifesteal or Regeneration set if you want to earn all of the stars in the Campaign. This might seem troublesome at the beginning but it will greatly benefit you at the end.
How many dungeons are there in RAID Shadow Legends?
Dungeons are places where you can farm potions, gear or scrolls by fighting specific Dungeon Bosses with unique abilities. Every Boss needs a different strategy and Champion composition. Currently, there are 10 different dungeons and we will talk about each of them.
Arcane Keep is a dungeon where you can farm Arcane potions needed for Ascending all Heroes. Arcane Keep has 15 difficulty stages and it is open every day. The first 3 stages have a chance to award only Lesser Arcane Potions, stage 4 – stage 7 awards are Lesser and Greater Arcane potions while stage 8 – stage 15 gradually increases the chance of gaining Lesser, Greater or Superior Arcane Potions. Besides Arcane Potions, there is also a chance for XP Brew drop and silver.
Arcane Boss mechanics are pretty simple. His affinity is Void, he is buffed with increased DEF, and he has an AOE attack that deals 75% increased damage against targets without buffs. He also has 2 Void based adds. The right add clears buffs, while left add applies decreased Attack debuff for 2 turns. All you have to do is to kill the adds first (focus on the right add, then the left one), keep yourself buffed all the time and then slowly finish the Boss. This Boss is not difficult and you can use auto-combat if you are strong enough.
Spirit Keep is a dungeon where you can farm Spirit potions needed for Ascending by Spirit Heroes. Spirit Keep has 15 difficulty stages and it is open every third day. The first 3 stages have a chance to award only Lesser Spirit Potions, stage 4 – stage 7 awards are Lesser and Greater Spirit potions while stage 8 – stage 15 gradually increase the chance of gaining Lesser, Greater or Superior Spirit Potions. Besides Spirit Potions, there is also a chance for XP Brew drop and silver.
Spirit Boss is tricky and can be difficult to kill if your team isn’t capable of applying certain debuffs. Spirit Boss affinity is obviously Spirit and she has 2 Spirit adds. Her damage is AOE based and it is dependable on her current health – the more health she has, the more damage she inflicts. She also has an ability to remove and block all debuffs for 2 turns (7 turns cooldown). Her main strength is her passive ability which restores 50% of her MAX health every turn. This practically means that you need to inflict damage equal to 60% of her MAX health before her every turn if you want to kill her. Her adds are not very dangerous but both adds have AOE damage that applies Decreased ACC debuff on your entire team.
Spirit Boss is not very hard in earlier stages, especially if your team primary Magic based but later on you will have to rely on a tactic to defeat her. The easiest way to kill her is to have Champions that can apply Heal Block and Slow in your team (Cursed Set also helps) and to save those debuffs until you deal with the adds and Boss’ Remove Debuffs ability is on the CD. Then you should simply apply Heal Block and Reduce Speed on the Spirit Boss and you will burn her HP with ease because she is not very tough. It is important to injure her every turn as much as possible because her damage output is dependable on her current health and to not apply debuffs if you are under the effect of Decreased ACC. Spirit Boss can be defeated on auto-combat if you are much stronger but otherwise, it is not advisable.
Force Keep is a dungeon where you can farm Force potions needed for Ascending Force Heroes. Force Keep has 15 difficulty stages and it is open every third day. The first 3 stages have a chance to award only Lesser Force Potions, stage 4 – stage 7 awards are Lesser and Greater Force potions, while stage 8 – stage 15 gradually increase the chance of gaining Lesser, Greater or Superior Force Potions. Besides Force Potions there is also a chance for XP Brew drop and silver.
Force Keep Boss is the definition of toughness. He has a passive ability that insanely increases his Armor and his 2 adds buffs him with 60% increased DEF. His basic AOE attack has a 50% chance to apply Decrease ATK on your entire team, while his 5 turns CD special ability has a 50% chance to Stun each of your heroes. The damage output of Force Keep Boss is not deadly but he will definitely kill you if you don’t deal with him fast enough. Strategy for him is simple – bring as many Spirit Champions as you can and spam him with DOTs (damage over time) like Poison or HP burn. Destroy set is also useful since it decreases the percentage of Boss’ HP regardless of his DEF. Keep in mind that dealing with adds should be your priority before focusing on the Boss.
Magic Keep is a dungeon where you can farm Magic potions needed for Ascending by Magic Heroes. Magic Keep has 15 difficulty stages and it is open every third day. The first 3 stages have a chance to award only Lesser Magic Potions, stage 4 – stage 7 awards are Lesser and Greater Magic potions, while stage 8 – stage 15 gradually increase the chance of gaining Lesser, Greater or Superior Magic Potions. Besides Magic Potions there is also a chance for XP Brew drop and silver.
Magic Keep Boss can be very hard if you don’t know what to do, especially in the later stages. She has a passive ability that grants her Shield depending on her MAX HP at the start of combat, and 25% increased damage per existing buff on her. Her basic skill is AOE that has a chance to decrease the Turn Meter of each attacked target. Her special skill has a 3 turn cooldown and grants her Shield proportional to her MAX HP and all existing stat buffs for 3 turns. That practically means that you will have to burn through her shield fast enough to kill her before she applies another shield and buffs. This is not an easy job at later stages. She also has 2 adds. Left add applies Decreased Defense for 2 turns while right add applies Increased Def on Boss for 3 turns. The strategy is to remove adds fast with AOE and then to try to Block or Reduce the length of Buffs while hurting the boss with skills that ignore Shield. Only a few Champions have needed skills, so you will have to rely on fully Force Team before you assemble the squad that will be able to fulfill the task.
Void Keep is a dungeon where you can farm Force potions needed for Ascending Void Heroes. Void Keep has 15 difficulty stages and it is open every third day. The first 3 stages have a chance to award only Lesser Void Potions, stage 4 – stage 7 awards are Lesser and Greater Void potions while stage 8 – stage 15 gradually increase the chance of gaining Lesser, Greater or Superior Void Potions. Besides Void Potions there is also a chance for XP Brew drop and silver.
Void Boss is pretty simple but that doesn’t mean that he is easy. He has only 2 abilities. Grim Reaper is his basic skill which is medium strength AOE that applies a certain number of Poison debuffs on the entire team depending on the stage difficulty. His special skill is Bane that deals the damage of all poison debuffs on all Champions instantly. When you know that he can cast that spell at the start of combat after he applied for example 3 Poison debuffs on everyone, you realize how devastating it can be. He also has 2 adds. Left add applies Weaken debuff while the Right add applies Block Buff debuff. Strategy for Void Boss is simple – eliminate the adds, survive the first Bane and kill him before he can cast the second one. Obviously high resistance and cleansing Champions will be really helpful but if you want to regularly farm this Boss, you will have to be strong enough.
Minotaur’s Labyrinth is a Dungeon where you can farm scrolls needed for Champions’ Masteries. Minotaur’s Labyrinth has 15 difficulty stages and it is always open. The first 5 stages award you with up to 6 Basic Scrolls, stages 6 – 10 awards are up to 16 Basic Scrolls and 6 Advanced Scrolls, and stages 11-15 award you with up to 32 Basic Scrolls, 16 Advanced Scrolls, and 12 Divine Scrolls. Besides Scrolls, Minotaur’s Labyrinth also awards you with silver.
Minotaur is very slow but his AOE skills are devastating. He starts the combat with a passive ability which grants him a Rage buff that increases his damage by 400% while the buff is active. The Rage lasts 3 turns and after that Minotaur will get Dazed for 1 turn. This effect increases the damage he receives by 200%. Once it expires, Minotaur will again be under the Rage buff. He also has 2 AOE attacks. The special attack strikes the entire team and applies HEX debuff that cannot be resisted on 3 random targets. The basic attack also strikes all party members and deals double damage against allies under the effect of HEX. Minotaur has 2 adds that are not a big threat but it should be imperative to deal with them fast since they also hit hard. Strategy for Minotaur is to survive until he enters a state of Daze and then to unleash all of the strongest CDs on him. Of course, you will have to save the strongest abilities while he is under the Rage effect but that shouldn’t be the problem since you will be focused on adds during that time. Once he is dazed, you will burn through his HP in no time, assuming you saved all of the strong skills and damage increasing buffs. Minotaur’s affinity changes with each difficulty stage so you will have to use different teams as you progress. On stages 7, 11 and 15 Minotaur’s affinity is Void, so you should use those stages as farming spots if you have a mixed main team.
ICE GOLEM’S PEAK
Ice Golem’s Peak is a dungeon where you can farm high-quality gear for your champions. Artifact Sets available in Ice Golem’s Peak are Life, Offense, Defense, Critical Rate, Resistance, Retaliation, Reflex, Cursed, and Taunting. This dungeon has 20 stages. Stage 1 – Stage 3 award you with Artifacts with 1-3 stars, Stage 4 – Stage 6 award you with Artifacts with 2-4 stars, Stage 7 – Stage 12 award you with Artifacts with 3-5 stars, and Stage 13 – Stage 20 award you with Artifacts with 4-6 stars. Besides Artifacts, there is also a chance to obtain Mystery Shard, Ancient Shard, XP Brew and silver.
Ice Golem could be very difficult Boss if you are not prepared for him. He has a passive ability that auto-attacks the entire team when his Health drops to certain percentages and has a chance to apply Freeze. Additionally, this ability revives Golem’s adds and if they are already alive damage output and freezing chance are increased. His basic ability is AOE that deals medium damage. His special ability is AOE that deals medium damage and applies 50% Decrease ACC for 2 turns. His adds do not hit hard but they apply DEF Decrease which is deadly when combined with Golem’s skills. The strategy for this fight is to deal with adds quickly before you bring down Golem’s HP to the point where he will execute his passive ability. You will be able to exploit this tactic in early stages but later on, you will have to bring Champions with Unable Revive ability if you want to clear the stage. Even then, the fight will be tricky since you will be under the effect of decreased ACC all the time. Ice Golem changes his affinity with every difficulty stage so you will have to use teams with counter-affinity if you want to progress.
Spider’s Den is a Dungeon where you can farm Accessories for your Champions. This Dungeon has 20 difficulty Stages. Stage 1 – Stage 3 can drop Faction Rings, Stage 4 – Stage 7 can drop Faction Rings and Faction Amulets, while Stage 8 – Stage 20 rewards are Faction Rings, Faction Amulets and Faction Banners. Aside from accessories, Spider’s Den also awards you with Mystery, Shards, Ancient Shards, XP Brew and Silver.
Spider Skavag is a very difficult Boss even in the early stages. Skavag is immune to Heal Block and it has a passive ability that summons 6 spiderlings at the start of each turn and 2 spiderlings on every enemy’s turn (in this case, on your team member’s turn). When the turn ends, Skavag will consume all alive spiderlings restoring 3% of its HP per spiderling and permanently increasing its damage by 10% per spiderling. Once it consumes spiderlings it will not consume it again in the next turn but it will do so again in the turn after that. Its basic attack is AOE that has increased damage against targets with Poison debuff and its special attack is AOE that has a 70% chance to decrease Turn Meter of each team member by 30%. Spiderlings alone are not dangerous at all, but every spiderling inflicts Poison debuff which can be deadly for the unfortunate member of your team. Although this fight is very hard, the strategy is simple. Assemble the team of Champions with at least 1 strong AOE and cycle the AOEs every turn in an attempt to leave as few spiderlings as possible for Skavag to consume. You should keep track of the cooldowns of your AOEs in order to have 1 AOE ready for each turn. Sometimes it is even good to avoid killing all of the spiderlings because if you leave 2 spiderlings alive they will be consumed, giving Skavag tolerable bonuses while leaving you with free turn without consuming to renew your cooldowns. Skavag fight is long and hard but that is the only way to farm Accessories so you will have to assemble a special team for Spider’s Den. Skavag changes its affinity with every difficulty stage making your farming task more complicated.
Dragon’s Lair is a dungeon where you can farm high-quality gear for your champions. Artifact Sets available in Ice Golem’s Peak are Accuracy, Speed, Lifesteal, Destroy, Toxic, Frost, Daze, Avenging, and Stalwart. This dungeon has 20 stages. Stage 1 – Stage 3 award you with Artifacts with 1-3 stars, Stage 4 – Stage 6 award you with Artifacts with 2-4 stars, Stage 7 – Stage 12 awards are Artifacts with 3-5 stars, and Stage 13 – Stage 20 award you with Artifacts with 4-6 stars. Besides Artifacts, there is also a chance to obtain Mystery Shard, Ancient Shard, XP Brew and silver.
When you read that the name of the Boss is Dragon, you might be intimidated at start, but this Dragon is not as deadly as some other Bosses. Swipe (basic skill) is a medium-strength AOE that applies Decrease Attack debuff on all targets. Wall of Fire (special skill) also delivers average AOE damage with 3 turns cooldown and applies Poison and Weaken debuff on all targets. Inhale is a passive ability with 3 turns cooldown that completely depletes his Turn Meter and grants him with a shield. While this Shield is active, he can use the hidden skill (Scorch), which is a high damage AOE that can stun all targets. Strategy for Dragon is to save single target cooldowns and use it when he executes Inhale. If you burn his Shield fast enough he won’t be able to use Scorch – the only skill which is truly dangerous. On later stages, you will have to include some cleansers in your team because Decrease Attack and Weaken debuff will prevent you from burning through his “shield” fast enough. While the Dragon is under the effect of Inhale, Ignore Shield skills will not penetrate his shield, so you will have to unleash an incredible amount of damage in 1 turn if you want to avoid Scorch.
FIRE KNIGHT’S CASTLE
Fire Knight’s Castle is a dungeon where you can farm high-quality gear for your characters. Artifact Sets available in Fire Knight’s Castle are Fury, Curing, Immunity, Shield, Crit Damage, Frenzy, Regeneration, Stun, and Savage. This dungeon has 20 stages. Stage 1 – Stage 3 awards are Artifacts with 1-3 stars, Stage 4 – Stage 6 award you with Artifacts with 2-4 stars, Stage 7 – Stage 12 awards are Artifacts with 3-5 stars, and Stage 13 – Stage 20 awards are Artifacts with 4-6 stars. Besides Artifacts, there is also a chance to obtain Mystery Shard, Ancient Shard, XP Brew and silver.
Fire Knight is potentially the hardest Boss in Dungeons after Skavag if you don’t have proper characters in your team. Searing Storm is his basic skill and that is the medium damage AOE. Dazzling Flames is his special ability which delivers high AOE damage and decreases the Speed Meter of all targets for 3 turns. This skill has 5 turns cooldown. Fire Knight’s passive ability is his enormous Shield that decreases the damage taken by 80% and prevents all debuffs while it is active. Fire Knight uses this Shield on every turn. Taking down the Shield is tricky since it doesn’t have HP value but it must be hit a certain number of times before it wears off. Once Shield is down, you will be able to inflict normal damage to the Fire Knight and apply debuffs to him. This practically means that you have to use Champions with skills that can attack a single target multiple times if you want to prevail. Assembling a proper team for Fire Knight’s Castle is very hard especially while progressing and your progress in Fire Knight Castle will definitely be lower than your overall progress during your journey. The best advice I can give you is to utilize all Champions capable of attacking 2,3 or more times in a row with their basic attacks (like Ethel for example) and maximize them once you acquire them.
Faction Crypts are dungeons where you can farm Glyphs needed for enchanting Artifacts with Champions that belongs to Faction connected to the certain Crypt. For example, if you want to clear Sacred Order Crypt you will need Sacred Order Champions. The story behind the Faction War is that all Factions are battling each other for Honor and Glory. Crypt Keepers have overtaken the Crypts and represent each faction in this War. If you want to control this war you will have to assemble a formidable team from each Faction and clear all stages in each Crypt.
Every Faction Crypt has 21 Stages of difficulty. Stages 7, 14 and 21 are guarded by Crypt Keepers, deadly Bosses that evolve as you progress and change their abilities to make your gameplay harder. You will have to constantly improve teams for each Faction Crypt in order to clear new stages.
Crypts open and close at 00:00 UTC every day with each Crypt opening for 24 hours at a time. Each Crypt will only be open for 1 day within a 6-day period. Crypts open in pairs, meaning there will always be two Crypts open at the same time. The order in which Crypts open is random, so each 6-day cycle will be different.
To enter a Faction Crypt you will need Crypt Keys. You are granted 12 Crypt Keys for each Crypt that can be only used for a specific Crypt. You cannot accumulate keys for one Crypt and use it on another. If you lose a battle you will not lose the Crypt Key, so feel free to try new stages even if you are not sure that you are strong enough. Crypt Keys will be lost only after you successfully clear the Faction Crypt stage.
Faction Crypts awards you primarily with glyphs that can be used in enchanting Artifacts and improving Artifacts substats. Glyph’s drop chance is totally random and is not connected to certain faction Crypt. Higher stages award you with better quality Glyphs while Crypt Keeper’s stages provide you with additional unique one-time rewards (Skill Tomes).
Similar to Campaign stages, Crypt stages also can be cleared with one, two or three stars:
- 1 Star – Clear the stage
- 2 Stars – Clear the stage with at least 3 Champions without losing one
- 3 Stars – Clear the stage with 5 Champions without losing one
The Arena is the PVP (Player vs Player) segment of Raid Shadow Legends. In Arena, you test your Champions against teams made by other players in an effort to acquire Winning Medals that upgrade Great Hall and unlock Global Bonuses for your Champions, huge weekly rewards and global recognition of your game progress.
Arena Defense and Arena Offense are two separate things. In Arena Defense, you pick 4 Heroes that will fight on your behalf when other players attack you. Those Champions will be controlled by AI meaning that you will not influence the outcome of those battles. In Arena Offense, your selected team will choose one opponent from the list of 10 possible opponents, and you will lead the battle against a team controlled by AI. If you are not satisfied with teams available on the list you can refresh the list for 5 gems or wait 15 minutes to refresh it for free.
To enter the Arena battle you will need tokens. One Token is generated per hour up to maximum of 10 Tokens at the time. When you start the battle Token will be used and it will be impossible to refund it after that.
Victory in the Arena will award you Medals and Arena Points.
Victory Medals are used in Great Hall where you can increase global stats of Champions divided by affinity. There are 3 types of medals depending on your Arena standing – Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
Arena Points are gained from every victory in both Offense and Defense. It improves your Arena Ranking and determines your Arena Tier. Five Arena Tiers represent player performance in Arena and match them against players with similar power. Arena Tiers are:
- Bronze (I,II,III,IV)
- Silver (I,II,III,IV)
- Gold (I,II,III,IV)
- Platinum (I,II,III,IV)
By winning or losing you can either get promoted to higher Tier or demoted to lower. After not participating in Arena for more than 30 days, players are automatically demoted to Unranked Tier and they will start from Bronze 1 when they enter the Arena again. Each Arena Tier provides players with global bonuses to all Champions in your roster. Those bonuses affect HP, Attack, and Defense.
Every Sunday at 23:59 UTC, your current Arena standing will award you with Arena Chest. Arena Chest can contain Gems, XP Brews, Shards, and Divine Artifact Sets (Divine Offense, Divine Critical Rate, Divine Life, and Divine Speed). Chest rewards depend on your current Arena standing – the better standing the better rewards.
The history of attacks made against you can be seen in Battle Log. Regular checking of Battle Log should help you understand what is the best Defense team and it can even show you the teams you should attack in Arena Offense.
The most important stat in the Arena is Speed. The one who plays the first controls the outcome of the battle. Champions with strong AOE attacks are ideal for Arena offense if they can unleash their damage salvo before opponents. The Clan Boss is the Demon Lord – a special Boss available only to Clan Members.
Clan Boss works differently to all other Bosses because, in order to beat it, you will need the combined effort of all Clan members. Attacking the Clan Boss is the primary way of winning extremely valuable Clan Chests.
How to attack the Clan Boss in RAID Shadow Legends?
In order to attack the Clan Boss, you will need Clan Boss keys that are available every six hours. If you need more keys, you can always buy it in the Shop for Gems.
Clan Bosses cannot be defeated in a single fight. Each Clan Member’s attack wears down the Demon Lord’s HP, with each subsequent attack picking up where the previous one left off. The amount of damage each individual Clan Member is able to deal influences which Clan Chest they receive as their reward. Clan chests contain randomized rewards but are the only way of winning Cruel and immortal Artifact Sets.
The Clan Boss resets at 10:00 UTC every day. The number of Clan Chests each player receives depends on the outcome of that day’s Clan Boss battles – If the Demon Lord is damaged but survives, each contributing Member will receive 1 Clan Chest according to the damage they dealt. If the Demon Lord is killed, every contributing member of the Clan will receive 2 Clan Chests according to the damage they dealt. These Chests are given out as soon as the Clan defeats the Boss or after the Boss resets.
There are 5 difficulties for Clan Boss – Easy, Normal, Hard, Brutal, and Nightmare
Players can only fight the Demon Lord on higher difficulties if their Clan successfully defeats the Boss on the previous difficulty. Once a new difficulty is unlocked, it is permanently unlocked for that Clan – the Clan does not need to beat previous difficulties each day. Battling the Demon Lord on higher difficulties allows Clan Members to win better, more valuable Clan Chests.
The Demon Lord fully heals – even if defeated – at 10:00 UTC every day. This means Clan Members can fight the Demon Lord again and win more Clan Chests. The Demon Lord always starts with the Void Affinity but once his HP drops below 50%, the Boss will change Affinity to another random Affinity in the next battle. Due to the random Affinity change, teams with multiple Void Champions or well-balanced mixes of Affinities have the advantage.
Assembling the right team for Clan Boss is not an easy task and you will have to try multiple combinations before finding the right one.
