Would you sacrifice a good console for a Top Tier gaming mobile phone Razer just developed?

This question arises at this moment because the famous company Razer just launched the new Razer Phone and succeeded where many others failed, like Sony Xperia or Nokia N-Gage. Razer is deadly serious to impose themselves on the market, which is obvious at first glance of this gaming phone’s might.

Razer bought the entire Nextbit Robin firm and charged them with building this gaming phone, based on the first and only model from that company. This is clear by the looks of the edges of the phone, which has strict angles. This phone, however, doesn’t look spectacular.

Good looks were not in their focus, obviously, as this phone has a minimalistic design, hiding its true power. But, jaws are definitely going to drop when people look at its 2K screen, which has 120Hz refresh rate, which is twice the amount of an average mobile phone today.

Razer Phone’s dimensions and characteristics

The screen is 5.7 inches (14.5 cm) wide, diagonally. Its aspect ratio is 16:9, and it is built in the new type of IGZO IPS LCD matrix with Ultramotion technology.
Ultramotion enables its screen and GPU Adreno 540 (Snapdragon 835 chipset) to work together in the best way possible, showing content without any lag and with minimum battery expenditure.
This impressive screen was made by Razer directly, in cooperation with Qualcomm to ensure the best possible quality with extremely high frame rate.

The sound is also important here, as the front of the device holds THX speakers, with 24bit DAC standard, and Dolby Atmos stereo and surround sound. Razer claims this model has the best sound system a smartphone device has ever had. Unfortunately, Razer Mobile doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack, but they provided a USB Type-C converter for the 3.5mm jack, which is included in the purchase.

Razer spared no expense, and so the phone’s hardware contains 8 GB RAM and 64GB of memory space, and you have a microSD slot for up to 2TB memory cards. The massive 4.000 mAh battery, which has a Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 4.0+, capable to withstand over 12 hours of video watching, 65 hours of music, and even 7 hours of playing games like Hearthstone.

Razer Phone also has 3 cameras. We have the front selfie camera with 8MP, while the rear cam is made out of a two camera combo – a primary 12MP cam, and another telephoto cam with 13MP resolution, both with 2x zoom capability. They even have an LED flash.

All this is packed around an Android Nougat 7.1.1. operating system, which has the Android Oreo addition since January 2018.
