It seems that Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate had managed to literarily strike gold in just a few short but extremely eventful days after it had been officially released. Of course, no one in the right mind had doubted in the ultimate success of this renowned franchise which gathered all our favorite Nintendo characters in one place – and then some! – and pitted them against each other, but what happened now is quite frankly off the charts.
In just one week, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate had sold in over 5 million copies worldwide. And, before you ask, this is not a tall tale leaked by some Nintendo fanatic, but official info coming from the lips of none other than Shuntaro Furukawa, the president of Nintendo. In other words, this officially makes Super Smash Bros. Ultimate a fastest selling piece of software in the history of Nintendo.
What can we say but that that’s another great victory for Nintendo Switch gaming console and ultimate proof that this Japanese giant still has what it takes to win the hearts, souls, and, pockets of gamers worldwide? Of course, however impressive this might seem, in the long run, Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have the chance to surprise us with even more groundbreaking milestones of this kind. DLC with new characters is already on the way, so make sure to stay tuned – you haven’t seen anything yet!
