General Characteristics

Monster Cannon can be gained in league 3 and higher. This cannon deals an average amount of damage has good ammo capacity and medium range. Well, it doesn’t really excel at any particular role, instead, it’s overall good at everything. In order to be effective with it, you should try to exploit weak points of different enemy tanks. So, close in vs long-range cannons, keep your distance from high DPS, short-range cannons, chase down light tanks, etc.

Special Ability: Static Mines

You will unlock this special ability at card level 3, just like with other rare cards. When activated, it will lob 4 mines from your cannon and they will deal damage to enemy tanks that run into them or that are directly hit by mines. Mines might not seem that good at first, but they are actually quite effective and fun to use. Now, I’m going to share a few tips that should help you make the most out of this special ability.

  • First of all, don’t try to place mines on the ground in the hope that enemy tanks will randomly run into them, this won’t work
  • Mines will disappear after 25-30 seconds if the enemies don’t activate them
  • Trying to hit a tank with mines in “open” combat might not be the best idea, as mines need a few seconds to land on a targeted location
  • Mines are a great way to ambush the opponents. They can be lobbed over the walls at the approaching enemies, while your tank is safe behind the cover. This way you can dish out considerable damage, and then charge out to finish off a damaged enemy tank. This is a very dirty tactic that will work even better if your tank is hidden – than you’ll achieve total surprise.
  • One of the best ways to use Static Mines is to take out opponents that are trying to retreat/hide by using walls for cover

Good Combinations:

  • Base: Medium Tracks/Heavy Tracks
  • Commander: Taylor Fast (grants damage reduction and improves special ability)

Since this cannon is good overall, but not great in any specific stat, I would suggest using medium tracks as they offer solid mobility with decent amount of HP.
