Phone Wars 11

USA VS China Phone Wars Round 11

Huawei EMUI 10 was just announced, right after they revealed their plans for HarmonyOS, their own mobile operating system. This latest 10.0 version is closely based on Android Q, which demonstrates how committed the company is to Android. Smartphone series will be getting the beta test version on September 8, while Google is expected to launch Android 10 Q right about that time as well.

Huawei made the announcement during their keynote event, but have left many things unsaid. What we do know is that EMUI 10.0 will come with a dark mode for the entire system, the one Google also announced, multi-screen support, and a wireless Smartphone display access from your PC. Also, we will get HMS Core, which is an alternate API app provider, like Play Services.

If we are getting the beta on September 8 for EMUI 10, Huawei will prove that they are quite good at pushing updates and working fast, faster than many other Android manufacturers, which also demonstrates their commitment to bounce back from all the restrictions and setbacks imposed on them in the past. The best thing about it is that when Huawei includes their own core service, Android apps will be easily transferred to Huawei OS, should their access to products from the USA be revoked, which is highly likely.

Besides P30 series, beta EMUI 10.0 will come to Mate 20, 20 X, 20 Pro, and 20 RS Porsche Design by the end of this September. Honor 20, Magic 2, View 20, and 20 Pro will also get it in September, but it will be named Magic UI 3.0. Here is the list of all Huawei devices that will get the beta update in the following months, besides P30 series:
