Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Gotham Memoirs Chapter 4 Stage 13 Dress up Time Princess. In the previous stage, you had a meeting with Miss Charlotte Harris. Stage 12 was a turning point for the sequel. You had to choose how you would tell her the news about her father. Her father is Councilman Steven Harris. You’ve had a lot to discuss and you need her help to find evidence so you can stop certain people from doing bad things. In this stage, we will show you what the story would look like if both methods of persuasion from stage 12 are chosen. If you previously selected Just tell the truth in Stage 4-12, you will obtain antique shop accounts from Charlotte and will have insufficient evidence. Hit Start once you are ready to begin stage 13.

Insufficient Evidence
Sufficient Evidence

A few days later you receive a call from Miss Charlotte Harris. She wants to meet you at the café. She doesn’t say why, only that she has something for you. You are guessing that she’s uncovered some new evidence. After hanging up, you prepare to head to the café. Miss Charlotte Harris must have discovered something. Quick, change into a Gentle and Charming outfit.

You arrive at the café. The attendant says that your companion is already here. You follow the waiter to the table where Miss Charlotte Harris is seated. She is hanging her head, looking dejected.

You sit across from Miss Charlotte Harris. She pushes some things on the table over to you. She will give you the clues. Don’t know if this is useful, but she couldn’t find any other clues. She hands you what appears to be the financial accounts of an antique shop. It’s her father’s shop. There were several large transactions recorded.

Flipping through accounts, you see some extraordinary sums. You point them out to Miss Charlotte Harris. These are transactions with the florist, the laundromat, and a restaurant. There is no way to spend such huge sums at those places. This is very suspicious.

You don’t think that is enough though. You are just worried there isn’t enough evidence. She did her best to find evidence, you will have to wait and find out if it is enough. As Miss Charlotte Harris leaves, you still feel a little uneasy with the accounts in your hands.

Back at the office, you immediately hand over the accounts to Prosecutor Diane Boseman. You told Prosecutor Diane Boseman what Miss Charlotte Harris said, pointing out the abnormally large transactions. But you don’t have robust evidence. This is your only lead as of now.

Prosecutor Diane Boseman quickly assembles a team and tasks Thomson with the responsibility of investigating the fishy accounts. You wait anxiously for them to report back with their findings. Thomson says that he found that these stores are all owned by Mr. Francesco Juliano. He is one of the leaders of New York’s five Mafia families.

You were right when you suspected that this evidence was not good enough. These accounts can only prove that the antique shop had business dealings with those stores. Prosecutor Diane Boseman doubts you can convince any court that Councilman Steven Harris is in league with the Mafia using this alone. In other words, you still lack conclusive evidence.

You have no choice but to take a risk. It is up to you. Prosecutor Diane Boseman wants you to draft a new article, based on the evidence you have on hand. The purpose of the article is to expose Councilman Steven Harris’s crimes and tear down his façade in public. The amount of attention this article generates will determine the fate of your team, and whether you can bring down Councilman Steven Harris.

You agonize over every tiny detail until you finally finished the first draft. You nervously bring it to Prosecutor Diane Boseman. She begins reading your article earnestly. You sit to one side, clenching your fists and fighting your anxiety.

Some parts can be improved. For example, your headline is too conservative and your content overly objective. She points to your headline – ‘’Gotham Charity School Missing Girl – What Happened?’’. She suggests ‘’Is Councilman Harris Behind the Case of the Missing Girls?’’

Prosecutor Diane Boseman says that the evidence you have is sufficient for you to pursue legal action against Councilman Steven Harris. The article will help everyone see Councilman Steven Harris for who he really is, and bring public opinion to your side. As a reporter, you cannot bring yourself to write such a sensational article. And what would Miss Charlotte Harris think?

Prosecutor Diane Boseman says that the situation is urgent, and you don’t have time. The Special Prosecutor Office may be abolished before he is prosecuted. When that happens, having your team dissolved would be the least of your problems.

If this article fails to garner traction with the public, you will be forced to stop your investigations. Think of Jessica’s death and those missing girls. This article is of utmost importance. Apart from the headlines, the content needs to be edited accordingly as well.

Although you are still struggling to accept this, you do what Prosecutor Diane Boseman says.

If you previously selected Gently reason with her in Stage 3-14, Appeal to her sense of justice in Stage 4-12, you will obtain the vehicle permits from Charlotte and will have sufficient evidence.

A few days later you receive a call from Miss Charlotte Harris. She wants to meet you at the café. She doesn’t say why, only that she has something for you. You sit across from Miss Charlotte Harris. She pushes some things on the table over to you. She will give you the clues. It took few days. She found some evidence. You look through the pile. Turns out, they were some used vehicle permits. You should know that vehicles passing through state boundaries are subjected to inspections. It is mainly to target alcohol smugglers.

These permits are signed with her father’s name. It contains the vehicle registration number and the valid dates. Miss Charlotte takes a deep breath. You have never seen her so sad and down. She never thought her father would do such a thing. She forces a smile, her face ashen. She makes to leave, without even touching her coffee.

Charlotte Harris smiles weakly, both nodding and shaking her head at you. She leaves the café her footsteps unsteady. You keep the evidence and pay the bill, ready to make your way to Prosecutor Diane Boseman at once. Back to the office, you hand over the vehicle permits to Prosecutor Diane Boseman immediately.

Miss Charlotte Harris gave evidence to you, said they can be used as evidence. She must’ve found something. Prosecutor Diane Boseman calls Thomson in and tells him to make comparisons immediately. Dates on top, each permit has a validity period clearly specified on the permit itself. Compare this, and the transaction records for the missing girls. Thomson hurriedly passes you the transaction records that he decoded. To your surprise, you realize…

Boseman says that this suggests that the girls might have been transported out of New York City in these cars. More importantly, these permits were signed with Councilman Steven Harris’s name. This means the Councilman Harris is in cahoots with the Mafia. This is direct evidence that they’re involved in the case of the missing girls.
