Hello and welcome to our Dress up! Magic Lamp stage 2-9 full walkthrough and guide. In the previous stage, Ghiyath completed his spell, and the ruins emerged from the sand. Realizing that he has the upper hand, Ghiyath tried to intimidate Light but failed. After that, Gina explained to the Magician that they managed to find him by using his own black glass bead. Our character will explain that she managed to acquire the glass bead by traveling 70 years into the past. There she saw Ghiyath’s father trying to use the glass bead to activate the space-time portal. However, Light managed to stop him by using the magic lamp, and when the dust settled, Gina discovered the glass bead beside the body of Ghiyath’s father. Finally, she concludes that it’s impossible to change the past, and if Ghiyath tries to use the dark magic to open the space-time portal, he will likely end up the same way as his father did, and the same catastrophe will happen, once more.

However, Ghiyath was determined to go through with his plan and exact revenge on the Fatih family. So, he proceeded by summoning the magic circle, but Light reacted immediately by sending the magic lamp far into the sky, away from the circle. Without the power of the magic lamp, Ghiyath knew that he won’t be able to complete his spell, and open the space-time portal. With that, he challenged Light to a magic duel and used his wand to fire a bolt of dark magical energy. However, once he saw that Light easily blocked the attack, surprised Ghiyath dropped his wand. Light offered him to surrender, and it seemed that the battle was over. But, Ghiyath quickly came to his senses, picked up the magic lamp, and fled inside the ruins. Light immediately charged after him.

However, that was exactly what the former Prince wanted him to do. As soon as Light stepped into the ruins, the thick black smoke rose all around him, immobilizing both him and Gina. They have fallen into Ghiyath’s trap, and now, the black smoke formed the magic circle around Light. Satisfied that his plan worked out perfectly, Ghiyath explained that the soul of a powerful magician can be used to activate the space-time portal, instead of the magic lamp. With that said, he revealed that he plans to sacrifice Light in order to achieve his goal.

Fortunately, Gina managed to distract Ghiyath by saying that the dark magic was the reason for the collapse of the former kingdom and that Ghiyath will repeat the same mistakes as his father if he continues with this plan. Light used this moment to break free from Ghiyath’s spell, and knocking him down with the fireball. However, Ghiyath had another ace up his sleeve. He turned the wand on himself, explaining that he will open the space-time portal by sacrificing himself. At this moment, Light realized that he can only stop Ghiyath by breaking the taboo once more. Having no other choice, Light sacrificed himself to stop Ghiyath and cleanse the darkness from his heart.

When Gina woke up, she saw Kahir and the group of soldiers standing next to her, but there was no sign of Light and Ghiyath. Kahir gave her that magic lamp, but it wasn’t magical anymore. Desperate, Gina dug her hands into the sand and discovered the glass bead, but it was no longer dark, so it looks like that Light’s spell was successful…

After this unfortunate event, Gina traveled across the land, trying to find a way to repair the magic lamp. Kahir hired the best alchemist and sages, but even the greatest minds couldn’t find a way to repair the lamp. Our story continues several months after the events that took place in the desert. Because they didn’t want to cause panic, Gina and Kahir decided to keep the confrontation between Light and Ghiyath secret, so life in the city continued normally. Gina, still grieving for Light, was sitting in her room, when Samar entered and reminding her that they should go to the market and buy groceries. The little girl pointed out that everyone noticed that something is troubling Gina. But, our character replied that she is feeling fine, and went to change her clothes before heading out.

Gina spent the entire they shopping with Samar. When she returned to her room, she had no appetite, as she was still grieving for Light. She felt…

Lost

Agitated
NOTE: The second option “Agitated” will lead to a somewhat bad ending “Grief and Remembrance”.

If you chose the second option “Agitated” Gina will pull the blanket over her head, in an attempt to muffle the sound from the banquette downstairs. Eventually, she managed to fall asleep, and she dreamed about Light, her lost friend. But these were not happy dreams, because she cried so much, that the blanket was wet with tears.

After some time has passed, Kahir became the King and ordered the abolition of slavery. The royal family also funded the construction of an orphanage. Besides that, Kahir also ordered the construction of a monument by the sea, in memory of his heroic ancestor Arslan, whose actions were unknown up to this point. As soon as the construction of the monument was finished Gina and Kahir came to visit it. Gina was pleased to see that the monument resembled a lighthouse, just like she wanted. When they reached the monument, Kahir opened up to Gina. He told her that, when he was a child, he dreamed of the day when he will become crowned king. He imagined huge masses of people cheering as he waved the scepter of his ancestors from the palace balcony. However, he became king in a very turbulent time, and he quickly realized that the King has many duties, and must make difficult choices, from time to time. To Gina, it seemed as melancholy has taken over Kahir, but she wasn’t surprised, because he had to deal with the rebellion and make several very difficult choices at the start of his reign. After the monument was built, the people learned of the heroic sacrifice that Arslan made, and the tale of this hero of old spread amongst the people. But, no one will miss Light more than Gina…

NOTE: If you chose the second option “Agitated” the story will end here and you will acquire the ending “Grief and Remembrance”.

NOTE: If you choose the first option “Lost” the story will continue.

If you choose the first option “Lost” Sinbad will come to visit Gina. He will explain that he is worried about Gina because she spends all her time alone inside the room. With that, Sinbad commands her to open the door. The old adventurer explained to Gina that, even though her friend left without saying goodbye, she can’t stay locked inside her room forever. Also, Sinbad points out that she had been depressed for months and that could seriously affect her health. Apparently, Gina never told Sinbad what really happened to Light. Instead, she just told him that one of her friends left, and she’s uncertain when she will see him again. Gina remained silent, but Sinbad doesn’t want to give up that easily. He informs Gina that he invited many famous voyagers and he’s certain that Gina would love to hear the stories of their adventure. Also, he is certain that Gina will feel much better if she goes with him to the banquette. Well, Gina knew that Sinbad is a stubborn person and that he will keep coming back for her until she leaves the room. So, she decided to attend the banquette.

When she got downstairs, Gina saw many interesting guests. While she was looking around, she almost bumped into one of the servants that were carrying two large plates filled with food for the guests. Gina managed to dodge the servant at the last second but collided with one other guest. She quickly apologized, but the guest just smiled at her. At this moment, Sinbad joined them, and he greeted the man that Gina just bumped into, revealing that his name is Alibaba and that they were old friends. Alibaba said that he decided to come to the banquette, even though Sinbad forgot to invite him. But, Sinbad reveals that he thought that Alibaba was dead.

Sinbad explains that Alibaba was thrown into the sea, during the particularly nasty thunderstorm, while they were sailing on a ship. So, Sinbad believed that his old friend drowned because he never saw him again. But, Alibaba reveals that he does know a bit of magic, and a few simple spells were enough to keep him from drowning. After hearing this, Gina immediately got an idea. She thinks that Alibaba, as a magic-user, might be able to help her with the magic lamp. Sinbad confirmed that he knew that Alibaba is a descendant of magic users, but he didn’t know that his friend knows how to use magic. Alibaba explains that he refrains from using magic, when possible because magic users are not looked upon favorably, these days. Well, after Alibaba confirmed that he is a magic user, Gina decided to ask him for a favor, hoping that he might be able to fix the magic lamp. However, she wanted to keep this conversation secret, so she, Alibaba, and Sinbad left the main hall and went into one of the rooms where they could have a private conversation. In here, Gina explained everything to them.

Sinbad was very surprised after he found out that Light, who Gina introduced as a musician, was actually a Genie. He also didn’t know that there was a lot of hostility between Fatih, the current ruling family, and the previous one. Gina apologized to Sinbad because she kept him in the dark about all of this, but Sinbad said that he completely understands. He knows that Gina couldn’t break a pact of secrecy that she made with the Genie. After examining the lamp for some time, Alibaba informs them that he found a trace of space-time magic on the magic lamp. So, Alibaba wants to know did the magic lamp took Gina 70 years into the past, and our character confirmed this. She also explained that she was caught in the time loop, and how every time she saved Light in the past, she would travel back to the old shack, where our story began. Well, until the cat finally broke the time loop. Alibaba took a closer look at Gina and discovered that there are traces of a time loop magic on her. Moreover, it appears that this magic is ancient, so it seems that Gina was trapped in the time loop for a very long time. After thinking about it for a bit, Gina concludes that Alibaba is probably right. That would also explain why she had the gemstone from the start – from the moment she “appeared” in the shack with the slaver.

Alibaba explains that the time-loop is given too much credit by the magicians. He explains that the time loop is very fragile and that it can be broken by some external influence. Gina wants to know if the cat in the shack was responsible for breaking her time loop. Alibaba thinks that’s probably the case, but he also explains that the people trapped in the time loop can find a way to break free on their own. With all that said, Alibaba admits that its knowledge of space-time magic is somewhat limited.

At this moment, Sinbad decided to interfere. The old adventurer doesn’t know much about magic, and he doesn’t understand half of the stuff that Alibaba said. Sinbad just wants to know if Alibaba can fix the magic lamp. Alibaba explains that there is a way to fix the magic lamp, but the price to do so is quite high. He explains that he could awake the Genie, but someone would have to take his place and fall into an eternal slumber inside the magic lamp. Alibaba asks Gina if she is willing to make such a great sacrifice. Before she could answer, Sinbad yelled at her not to do it. And now, Gina has to make a very difficult choice.

I will

Hesitate
NOTE: The second option “Hesitate” will lead to a somewhat bad ending “Grief and Remembrance”.

If you choose the second option “Hesitate” Gina will take a look at the magic lamp and think through the consequences of her reply. After thinking about it for a few moments, Gina concludes that even if Alibaba succeeds in repairing the magic lamp, she won’t see Light ever again, because she will be trapped instead of him. After this realization, Gina continued to stare at the magic lamp, unable to answer this difficult question. Alibaba waited for a few moments for Gina’s answer, and when she remained silent, he said that he understands her. He explained that it is difficult for any human to sacrifice itself, no matter how noble the goal might be. With that, he advised Gina to continue her life, and forget about Light. Finally, he bid Gina and Sinbad farewell and left.

Back to Previous Choice
NOTE: If you choose the first option “I will” the story will continue.

If you choose the first option “I will” Gina will accept Alibaba’s terms. However, Sinbad will strongly protest, saying that it makes no sense for Gina to sacrifice her own life in order to save Light. Moreover, he also points out that Light wouldn’t approve of this, because Genie has done everything he could to protect Gina, and he definitely wouldn’t want to see her sacrificing her own life so that he could be free. But, Gina is firm in her decision. She reminded Sinbad that Light already sacrificed himself 70 years ago because that was the only way to stop the Old King, and Gina doesn’t want to see her friend going through all of this again. After he heard this, Alibaba agreed to help her.

With that, Alibaba took out a glass bottle and removed the cork. Then, he started to chant some mysterious spell, and Gina could see the black smoke leaving the magic lamp and pouring into the bottle. Soon, the glass bottle was full, and there was no more black smoke coming out of the magic lamp. With the magic lamp free of the black smoke, it became shiny again, and the gemstone was illuminated in the radiant light of magical energy. Alibaba confirmed that the magic lamp is now free of dark energy, and said to our character that she can now try to summon Light. Gina was afraid that Light won’t answer her summons, but she decided to try anyway and rubbed the magic lamp like she did so many times before.

But, confused Light appeared in front of her! Gina was overjoyed and she immediately rushed to hug Light. She was so happy to see her friend again, that she started crying. Light gently told her to stop crying and asked her how she managed to wake him up and fix the magic lamp. At this moment, Gina remembered the price that she had to pay in order to wake up and free Light. She turned to look at Alibaba but discovered that he is already walking out the door. Confused, Gina ran after him.

She quickly managed to catch up to Alibaba and reminded him that she still didn’t pay the price for freeing Light. However, Alibaba explained that he was just testing her commitment and that she didn’t have to sacrifice herself in order to free Light. Alibaba explained that he admires her courage and that love is more powerful than magic. With that, he waved at her and left. Sinbad, seeing that both Gina and Light are fine and well, decided to give them some privacy and left the room. Gina immediately rushed back to Light and informed him about the ritual that Alibaba performed to release him. Light quickly figured out what happened. He explained to Gina that Ghiyath’s memories were trapped alongside him inside the magic lamp, and these memories prevented Light to answer her summons. However, once Alibaba removed Ghiyath’s memories, Light was free, once more. So, Gina concluded that the black smoke that came out of the lamp actually represented Ghiyath’s memories.

Light confirms this, saying that Gina is getting smarter. However, our character wasn’t really in the mood for jokes, and she reminded Light that he would still be trapped in the magic lamp if it wasn’t for her. Well, Light just smiled at Gina and acknowledged that he would be lost without her because she indeed woke him up more than once. But, he also reminds her that he still didn’t grant her the wish that they agreed upon. Gina completely forgot that she had one wish, and the Genie could now keep good on his promise. With that said, Gina has to decide what her wish will be.

Light can become human and gain freedom

The orphans can have a home
If you choose the first choice “Light can become human and gain freedom” Gina will say that her wish is for Light to become human and finally be free of his bond with the magic lamp. Light is grateful, but he wants Gina to reconsider one more time because she will only get one wish. However, Gina is certain of her choice. She reminded Light that he told her in the desert that he wished to be free, so he and Gina can travel and see the world. Well, since she’s the only one that can give Light his freedom, Gina firmly decided to spend her only wish on him. With that, Light snaps his fingers, saying that he will fulfill Gina’s wish.

Our story continues with Gina and Light on a ship, sailing across the sea. Light is thrilled because, after his bond with the magic lamp has been broken, he can now finally travel and see the world. However, right now, our characters are on Sinbad’s cargo ship, and their task is to get the shipment. Apparently, Light is a bit jealous, because he heard that Sinbad wants to introduce Gina to one of his nephews in Northland. But, Gina calmed him down by saying that Sinbad was only joking when he said that. On the bright side, once Gina and Light deliver the shipment, they will be free to travel the world, as they please. Gina remembered that she never told Light what she feels for him, and she thinks that now is the perfect moment to do so. She told him to come closer so that she could whisper something in his ear, and then she grabbed his collar and kissed him. Gina said that she isn’t very good with words, so she decided to show Light how she felt. Light was surprised, but just for a moment, and then he kissed Gina back. With that, our characters sailed into the sunset, determined to spend the rest of their lives together, exploring the world.

NOTE: If you chose the first option “Light can become human and gain freedom” the story will end here, and you obtain the ending “Beyond Sand and Sea”

Back to Previous Choice
If you choose the second option “The orphans can have a home” Gina will say that he wished for a long time for the orphans of the Full Moon Kingdom to have a home. But, Light wants her to consider this choice once more, and decide if she really wants to spend her only wish on others. But, Gina is certain, and she reminds Light that she was an orphan once, so she is determined to spend her only wish on the orphans of the Full Moon Kingdom. Besides that, she is certain that, with Light by her side, she already has the most valuable thing in the world. Light smiled at this statement and decided to grant Gina her wish.

After some time has passed, Kahir became the King and ordered the abolition of slavery. The royal family also funded the construction of an orphanage, and Gina was put in charge of it. Our story continues with Samar asking Gina if she’s standing outside the orphanage because she’s waiting for Light. But, Gina tries to hide this by saying that she only got out to get some fresh air while the children are napping. However, she couldn’t help it, and glance towards the street, hoping to see Light. At this moment, she heard that a boy named Abu is crying in the backyard. Without hesitation, Gina rushed to see what’s wrong. When she got there, she saw Light playing with the little boy. But, Abu claimed that Light broke his camel doll, and that’s why he was crying. Light tries to calm him down by promising that he will take him to ride a real camel, but Abu is still said because the camel doll was special to him since it was made by Gina. Our character quickly calmed the little boy by promising that she will fix his toy.

Overjoyed, Abu yelled that he loves Gina and tried to run over to her, but Light held him firmly. Now, Light, after finding out that Gina can make toys, asked her to make him one. However, instead of a camel, Light would like a lion. But, Light reminds her that he has been sending a lot of valuables from the palace to the orphanage, and with that, he thinks that he deserves at least this small token of appreciation. Seeing that it would be rude to refuse him, Gina decided to accept Light’s childish request and make him a lion doll. Abu, feeling a bit jealous, said that Light will never marry Gina because she doesn’t like bad boys. Also, Abu says that he will marry Gina when he grows up, but Light told him that he will have to grow quickly because Gina can’t wait forever.

Gina begins to mend the camel doll, as Light and Abu are chasing each other around and laughing. The sun was shining brightly and, satisfied Gina thought to herself that this might be exactly what she was looking for. She was finally happy, and felt that her dreams of peaceful life became true…

We reached the end of the story, but don’t forget that there’s another branching of the story, in which you’ll jump straight to stage 2-10 from stage 2-3 (the other branching of the story ends with the stage 2-15).

Well, it was a great adventure, and our character Gina, met many interesting friends along the way. She also faced the mythical creatures, like the Golden Serpent Queen, encountered ancient magical items, traveled to the past, and, together with her friends, fought against the dark magician from the past. Needless to say, this was one very thrilling adventure, and we finally reached the end of Gina’s journey…
