Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Queen Marie Chapter 2 Stage 8 of Dress up Time Princess. Last time, you went to the church to pray for a better future for everyone. While returning back to the palace, d’Eon entered the carriage and told you that the King instructed him to keep you safe. After talking to him for a while, you saw the fortress of Bastille through one of the carriage windows. You asked d’Eon to take you there, but he said it’s not a place for a Queen. Still, you were very persistent, and eventually, he agreed to your proposition. Once you got there, you realized that the place is nothing like an ordinary prison. It was comfortable and well-maintained, and you had the chance to talk to some of the prisoners. After a while, you decided there is something else you could do for the people of France – tear down the Bastille. The stage window will display the requirements, a short description, and the rewards. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
After returning to the palace from the Bastille, you will spend the next several days in the study, discussing your idea with the King, Blaisdell, and the others. Finally, you will be able to polish everything and decide to publicly announce this change during the banquet organized for the King’s birthday.
Leonard will be thrilled to dress you up for this occasion. You’ll be more than happy to see him. After all, it’s been a while since you last had Leonard designing clothes for you.
You will be curious to know where he was, but unfortunately, he won’t have time to answer your question. The King’s birthday is far more important, and Leonard will want to make sure that you’re the most beautiful person there. You’ll admit you missed him a lot in the past several months. Needless to say, Leonard will be quite happy hearing that.
His cheerful mood will affect you, and soon enough, you will be more than eager to attend the King’s birthday party. Leonard will then say that heard a lot of things about you while he was working on your outfit. As it appears, he worked six months on it, and he will be looking forward to seeing you wear it.
For this occasion, you should wear clothes and accessories with Grand and Perky tags.
Leonard will be stunned once sees you. You will think of a way to thank him for everything he’s done. After thinking for a bit, you will come up with a decision.
If you choose to invest funds to help Leonard open his own clothing shop, you’ll tell him you’re truly touched by his work, and you will offer to be his patron and help him open his own clothing shop. That way, more people will get to wear the clothes he designs. Leonard will look at you for a moment, and say that he must decline your offer.
He will admit that he needs freedom in order to truly express himself as an artist. Also, his designs aren’t meant for everyone, but only for the ones worthy of them. He will smile and reassure you that you are most definitely worthy.
If you choose to invite Leonard to become the head designed, you will offer the position to him. He will smile at you and tell you he’s incredibly happy with your offer. Unfortunately, he will admit he has to turn you down.
This will come as a surprise to you. You will ask Leonard if there’s anything he is worried about. He will sigh and after a brief moment, he’ll tell you he wants freedom. He will admit that he can only design clothes when he is happy, which is one of the reasons why he’ll have to turn down your offer.
Still, he will say that you are the person who inspires him the most, and he wants nothing else than to be your one and only designer.
You will smile at Leonard and tell him you won’t make any other request that would annoy him. You will, however, tell him you’ll look for him more often to chat and have tea. Needless to say, Leonard will be happy to hear that.
He will then remind you that it’s almost time for you to go. He’ll ask you to promise him to astound everyone at the party. You will nod and say you’ll make sure that everyone knows who designed your outfit.
While walking through the corridors, you will notice that they are brightly illuminated with grand lights. Everything will look nicely decorated and as you approach the banquet hall, you will sense the aroma of wine, fruits, and various delicious meals. Everyone you meet will be dressed in their finest outfits, and cheerful laughter will be heard from people.
The King will smile at you and take your hand as you walk together to the raised platform in the center of the hall. You will kindly wave at everyone before Louis XVI starts his speech. He will start by saying how delighted he is to see so many wonderful guests at his birthday.
He will remind everyone how France reached glorious heights under the rule of Louis XIV. Unfortunately, that glory did not last for too long, and slowly, the country went down into a state of crisis, and the royal family started losing the trust of the people. However, after the reforms took their place, the whole of France started prospering again, and people are starting to live better.
The King will look at everyone and point out that many of the people who took great part in the reform are present in the hall. He will name Blaisdell, Lafayette, and Fersen in particular. But most importantly, he will point you out. Thanks to your efforts, the whole country changed for the better.
Just by hearing Louis XVI say those words will make you incredibly happy and proud. He’ll then continue to announce another very important change, one that you suggested. Moments later, everyone will turn their attention to you.
First of all, you will express your gratitude to everyone for helping France get out of the crisis. You’ll also say you hope that the changes won’t be limited to physical assets, but will also extend all the way to the kingdom’s roots. Shortly after, you will tell them you wish to demolish the Bastille.
You will notice that not everyone seems supportive of that idea. A lot of people will start whispering to each other. You’ll go on and say that you want to place your hope in the people of France. As long as they don’t break any laws, there should be no need for prisons.
You’ll say that demolishing of the Bastille will just be the start of this reform. Over time, state prisoners will be released, and the tax money used to maintain prisoners will be used to build public libraries and schools. That way, even common people will be able to get educated.
Duke Villars will be the first one to ask you about the state prisoners. You will sternly reply that France doesn’t need state prisoners, which is the will of the King. Louis XVI will add that from now on, France will strive to become more liberal and welcome people from other countries.
He will use Fersen as an example since he came from Sweden. Many times, Fersen has provided the royal court with valuable ideas and suggestions, and his contributions were extremely helpful. Together with Blaisdell and Lafayette, he played a crucial part in the recent reforms.
Fersen will ask the King to let him say a few words. He will announce to everyone that he is a citizen of France. The King will nod at him and smile, and your heart will start racing upon hearing the words of this adorable Count.
The King will continue and say that everyone will be allowed to express their opinions on how to improve France. Hopefully, the feedback of the people will allow the whole country to become better and prosper.
Everyone in the hall will look very hopeful upon hearing the King’s words. Shortly after, Lafayette and Blaisdell will come forward, and together with Fersen, they’ll go down on one knee in front of the audience. Lafayette will be the first one to swear his oath.
Blaisdell will also swear an oath in front of everyone.
Once the opening speeches are over, you will look at everyone and notice the smiling faces all around you. You will be extremely grateful and deeply moved that you got the chance to experience all of this and change history.
Before the feast starts, you will make another announcement. You will tell everyone that despite all of the struggles and hardships, in the end, you all came out as winners. And France is the greatest winner of all. Soon enough, all of the people will start cheering.
At that very moment, you will reflect upon everything that has happened since you arrived. You will think of a person who’s been supporting you throughout the whole journey. You will be able to choose who that person is.
If you choose Fersen, about half a year will pass since the reform. France will continue moving towards a better future, and the King will decide to hold a grand banquet for everyone to celebrate. Before the banquet, the King and you will pose for a painter. Apparently, the painting will be displayed in the grand hall.
After enduring several hours of sitting for the painting, the banquet will be held. You will manage to find an excuse to leave the hall and hurry to the garden to meet Fersen. The Charming Count will notice you running towards him and will greet you with a lovely smile.
Apparently, Fersen has a huge surprise for you. He will point out how special you are to him and moments later, he will take you near a pool in the garden. You will look around in all directions, but unfortunately, you won’t see anything out of the ordinary. Fersen will notice that you are slowly getting disappointed, and will ask you to wait for a while. He’ll promise you won’t have to wait long.
You will smile and teasingly reply you’ll need to think of a way to punish him if he lets you down. Fersen will say that you won’t get the chance to do that. He’ll look at you with his gorgeous eyes and tell you he’ll do his best to fulfill every promise he makes to you. You’ll chuckle and admit you were only teasing him.
After some time, you will start getting sleepy when Fersen suddenly claps his hands. He’ll ask you to stand near him and look into the pool. As you approach, you will instantly understand what his surprise is. You will notice the moon’s reflection floating gently on the surface of the water.
Fersen will look directly in your eyes and say there is something he wants to tell you. He will admit that in the past, while he was still young, he didn’t have the strength to stand by your side. Now, he can at least stand by you with dignity. You will be moved by his words.
Fersen will point out that France is finally at peace, and although he isn’t certain what the future holds, he will promise to give his all to protect the country and to protect you as your knight. He considered for a long time what to give you as a gift, but unfortunately, he couldn’t think of a present that would be good enough for you. And then he got the idea.
He will then say that in the past, he wanted to keep you all to himself. Now, you’ve captured the hearts of every person in France. Fersen will say that after thinking things through, he has finally come to a realization. He will look at you with his captivating eyes and say a few words that would melt your heart.
This will lead to one of the endings of Queen Marie story. You will receive the achievement for obtaining this ending.

If you choose Lafayette, around half a year will pass since the reform. France will continue to prosper, and the King will decide to hold a banquet for everyone to celebrate. Before the banquet, Blaisdell will arrange for a painter to paint a portrait of the King and you, which will be displayed in the grand hall.
After going through several hours of sitting for the painting, the banquet will start. Upon getting the opportunity, you will head outside to the garden to get some fresh air. While walking around, you will notice Lafayette approaching you with a worried face.
He will remind you that the assassination attempt on you wasn’t too long ago, and he’ll advise you not to wander around the garden alone. You will admit that you wouldn’t be able to relax if several guards would constantly be around you.
You’ll notice that Lafayette looks a little uneasy, as if he’s not sure if he should continue pressing the matter. He will then ask if you would allow him to accompany you. You’ll smile at him and say you would be more than happy to have him by your side.
Suddenly, his expression will change completely, and the stern exterior will be replaced by a gentle smile. He will slowly accompany you under the moonlight, keeping a respectful distance between you. After walking for a while, you will turn towards him.
He’ll be curious if there’s something specific you want to talk about. You’ll remind him that every time you’ve had a chance to talk in private, you were the one to speak first. This time, you will ask Lafayette to pick a topic of your conversation.
For a moment, he’ll be unsure what to say. You’ll try pushing him a bit and say that he can talk about anything. You will then cheekily smile at him, saying that he can even complain about you if he wants to.
Lafayette will smile at you, saying there is something he wants to complain about. You will be slightly surprised to hear it, and ask him about it. Suddenly, he will chuckle, saying he was only teasing you.
Although he won’t have any complaints, Lafayette will say he has something he wants to give you. He’ll take out a small square box and gently place it in your hand. You’ll carefully open the box and notice a round medallion inside. You will turn it around and notice the words carved on the back of it.
You’ll immediately start blushing at Lafayette, asking what this gift is supposed to mean. He will smile at you and say it’s just a simple promise. He’ll tell you that he will do all in his power to protect you and stay by your side for as long as he lives.
Your heart will suddenly start beating faster, and you will be overjoyed by hearing his words. Lafayette will ask if you are willing to accept his oath. You’ll look at him for a moment, nod your head, and say the words he was hoping to hear.
This will lead to another ending of Queen Marie story. You will receive the achievement for obtaining this ending.
If you choose Louis XVI, about half a year will pass since introducing the reform. France’s situation will steadily continue to improve, and the King will decide to hold a banquet for everyone to celebrate. Before the banquet, Blaisdell will arrange for a painter to paint a portrait of the King and you. After posing for a while, your legs will start aching.
You will instantly remember the modern technology and wish that you had a camera available. It would make things significantly easier. The King will notice that you’re feeling uncomfortable, and he will calmly ask the painter to have a short break.
The painter won’t be too happy about this decision. She’ll point out that a sudden break would disrupt her artistic expression and affect the quality of the result. You will remind the King that the painting is supposed to be displayed in the grand hall.
He will say that he noticed you are tired, and he wants you to have a bit of rest. He’ll turn towards the painter and tell her you will be having a short break. She will nod respectfully and say she respects his wishes. However, she might have to do some explaining to Blaisdell later on.
Louis XVI will calmly say that according to everyone he’s spoken to, Le Brun is the best painter in all of France. He’ll present a rather simple solution to her. He will ask her to follow her intuition and paint both of you based on her impression of you.
You will find this fairly interesting. Le Brun, on the other hand, will be surprised by the King’s request. After all, she never had anyone else asking her to do something similar. Most of the nobles she worked for wanted to look as good as possible in the paintings.
She will warn the King that the results may not turn out the way he expected. Apparently, Louis XVI won’t seem to mind that at all. He will turn to you and ask for your opinion. You’ll calmly say you are simply looking forward to seeing the painting.
Still, you will be slightly worried about Blaisdell’s reaction to this. After all, he was the one who arranged for the painting session. The King will smile at you and reassure you that Blaisdell will be stunned by the painting. He’ll have a lot of faith in Le Brun’s skill. The painter will thank him for his kind words.
Just as you were about to leave, Le Brun will ask you to stay still for a while longer. She’ll say she wants to remember the setting so she could paint it more easily. The King will smile at you, saying you’ll have to endure standing still for a bit longer.
You’ll notice that this time, Le Brun won’t be focused on her brush movement, but instead, she’ll look closely at both the King and you. You’ll wonder how she perceives you. As a pair of successful reformists and rulers? Or just an ordinary couple in love? You will then remember all of the challenges and hardships you’ve been through and realize that all of those have shaped you into the person you are now.
This will lead to another ending of Queen Marie story. You will receive the achievement for obtaining the ending.
Shortly after, Queen Marie Chapter 2 Stage 8 will conclude. You will receive the rewards for completing the stage.
The reforms you introduced were successful, and as a result, France recovered from the financial crisis, and you managed to change history. Still, there is another side to this story.
