What’s next in store for Hogwarts Mystery

A lot of things happened in Hogwarts Mystery in the past few months. We’ve got to conjure our Patronus, go on our first date, solve the mystery of the Portrait Vault, meet a new friend from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, and most importantly, finish the fifth year of our Hogwarts studies.

Now, we’re six chapters into year six, and things are getting increasingly interesting. Almost immediately after starting the sixth year, a new curse was unleashed upon Hogwarts, and once again, it’s up to us to save everyone from its horrible effects. Not only that, but ever since we broke the portrait curse, Madam Rakepick was nowhere to be seen, and who knows what she’s up to this time…

Thankfully, not everything is so grim. We’ve got to meet the Weasley twins and we’ll more than likely share some mischievous adventures with these two in the future. Another nice news is that Bill decided to visit Hogwarts occasionally and teach some useful defensive spells that will without a doubt come handy once we face ‘R’. We’ve also found out that Jacob is safe and sound, but sadly, he’s currently too occupied chasing Rakepick, so we only got to see him briefly.

Still, the most important question that everyone seems asking nowadays is – what’s next? Well, here is some information that might intrigue you. First, and foremost, we are getting Quidditch. Yes, nearly year and a half since Hogwarts Mystery’s release, we’re finally going to get a taste of Quidditch. According to some data mining, the Quidditch side quest will have seven parts, each consisting of 4-6 tasks. This makes it BY FAR the longest side quest ever to appear in Hogwarts Mystery. Still, there is no info on whether or not this quest will be time-limited, but according to datamine info, it is likely that this one won’t be time-constrained. Also, we’ll get to play as a Chaser for our House. This kind of makes sense, since Charlie Weasley is Gryffindor’s Seeker, and Andre Egwu is Ravenclaw’s Keeper, so those two positions are instantly off the table and given our character’s history, Chaser seems like the appropriate position. There’s no confirmation when will this side quest become available, but it will more than likely appear in a month or two at most. Also, there is no info on the year requirement, so that remains to be seen as well.

Other than that, some other data mining info suggests that the next two Hagrid’s friendship side quests will involve Thestral and Welsh Green Dragon. Both of these creatures require Magizoology level 4, which isn’t too high. However, in order to adopt them, you’ll need to acquire plenty of notebooks. Thestral costs 75 red and 15 blue notebooks while adopting Welsh Green requires 60 red and 30 blue notebooks. If you don’t have any of these creatures, now might be a good time to focus on events and start saving notebooks, especially if you want to increase Hagrid’s friendship level.

But what about friends? Well, it won’t be too long until we’re able to meet and befriend Cedric Diggory, especially after what Merula said near the end of Chapter 6 of Year 6. Other than that, there is a high possibility we’ll soon be able to befriend Chiara. Lately, she was often featured in story chapters, and since this year’s Halloween is arriving soon, there is a good chance we’ll receive an adventure during that time which will reward us by adding Chiara to our list of friends, similar to Flying Solo adventure, which allowed us to befriend Talbott. As some of you may recall, we first met Chiara during last year’s Halloween, which makes this a perfect opportunity to finally befriend her. Still, this information is not official, but this is definitely a great opportunity for Jam City to surprise us all and allow us to become friends with Chiara.

So, there you have it. Bear in mind that most of this info is a result of data mining, and none of it was officially confirmed, except for Quidditch, which was recently teased by Hogwarts Mystery social media.
