Since its initial release this April, Xiaomi Black Shark was available exclusively in China, although there had been a considerable interest for this particular brand in other global markets. Now, it seems that Xiaomi had finally made some moves to amend that and make this gaming powerhouse available in other parts of the globe and Europe is the first stop on their world tour. It has been officially announced that the European mobile and gaming community will finally get some love from Xiaomi in just a couple of days, on November 16.
For now we know that Xiaomi Black Shark will be released in 28 European states, and the list of lucky countries which will be able to enjoy this combination of smartphone and portable gaming console include: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom. Now, although everything will be revealed in the upcoming days, that’s about it as far as precise information is concerned. We don’t know whether Xiaomi Black Shark will become available in all those countries simultaneously, or there will be a particular order of the release. Also, there had still been no hints that this device will grace the USA market with its presence in the foreseeable future, although that would certainly be a logical next step. The price for Xiaomi Black Shark also haven’t been specified yet, but since the price for the most basic version of this device in China is currently 2,999 yuan, we can expect that the starting price in Europe will be about $430 or 380 euros.
This will also be a convenient moment to remind you that this whole release will be focused only on the original version of Black Shark and not on phenomenal Black Shark Helo. Nevertheless, although some of you will undoubtedly be disappointed by this decision, European users will still get a superb gaming phone, “armed” with a plethora of great features which guarantee superior gaming performances. First of all, at the heart of Xiaomi Black Shark lies mandatory Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845. The display has 5.99 inches, with 1080 x 2160 resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio will offer a clear and bright image during your gaming sessions, with an average brightness of 550nit. Memory will range from 6GB to 8GB RAM, and internal storage will also come in two usual sizes – 64GB and 128 GB, which will presumably determine the price of the device. Xiaomi Black Shark also boasts one innovative feature, which will greatly contribute to the stability of its performances – it is the very first phone equipped with the revolutionary liquid-cooling system. There’s also a capable 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 ability to power everything and provide you with enough juice to play without annoying pauses and interruptions. Finally, although Xiaomi Black Shark is designed primarily as a gaming phone, it also boasts a more than decent camera system, with 12MP (rear) and 20MP (front) respectively. The phone will initially be powered by Android 8.1 Oreo, but it will undoubtedly be possible to upgrade it to Android 9 Pie version of the OS. On top of everything, in China Xiaomi Black Shark came in the package with the Black Shark Gamepad, so we’re hoping that European customers won’t be deprived of this cool feature.
