Okay, is this Beyblade? Yes, it looks like. It’s baffling that these games are still actual, more than a decade after a premiere. I guess there will always be kids who heard about Beyblade for the first time and left baffled by the concept. This game, in particular, is a mixture of Beyblade games and multiplayer online games like Agar.io.
The Beyblade inspired elements are the blades themselves. You can customize them and build in the parts you earn in loot boxes after defeating other players in matches. Except direct clashing of the blades, there are various ways in which you can use your environment to your advantage. You can dodge the obstacles or smash your enemies into them. Or you can simply outsmart your opponent by avoiding them and leading them to stronger opponents. There are various competitions you can enter and win to become the champion of blade bouncing.
The element that is apparently taken from the Beyblade is that every blade has its spirit animal. Those mighty creatures upgrade your blades greatly with their mystical powers, and more you play more you’ll have in your arsenal. Under the condition that you win, of course. Every beast has its strong and weak side, and collecting them will greatly increase your versatility.
This January we’ve got a winter update, which improved a lot of gameplay elements. The updates reduced a chance to get a duplicate blade part from a loot box and added a dash mechanic which will make your Beyblade dash forward, ignoring any damage taken for 0.5 seconds. The old animal spirits of Bear, Dragon, Wolf, and Snake were tweaked and rebalanced, and three new spirits were added, Boar, Bull, and Deer. Speaking of additions, there are 12 new blade parts to collect, 8 of which are only available in the Winter Season. Mechanic wise, the steering stat now has 50% more impact on the actual steering of the blade, and performance is optimized across devices.
This game is pretty much made for children and nostalgic adults who love good spindle combat. It’s light and fun, ideal to kill time on break, but also has a competitive mode you can try and be the best blade bouncer in the area.
