We, the gamers, by gamers, for gamers, and in the name of the gaming world, wish everyone, whom so ever this may concern, a happy new year, 2020! This may sound corny, but we are grateful to everyone for every visit, every article read, and every little bit of attention you have given us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we hope that we at least managed to return everyone’s attention with an honest, passionate, and truthful approach to video games.
Video games mean the world to us. I speak for myself and for many of my friends and colleagues. I’ve started playing when I was just a toddler, in the mid-‘80s. The first games I remember were NES titles like Super Mario, Jackie Chan, NBA Jam, and such. Through SEGA, I’ve managed to expand my horizons and grow up into elementary school, again with a joypad in my hands. Some of the titles I loved back then are still my favorites, like Earthworm Jim, Comix Zone, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and others.
Then SonyPlaystation came along, and opened up a whole new universe of 3D environment and models. Yes, definitely with some weird angular characters like Gabe from Syphon Filter and Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, but you learn to love them, especially the angular part. And, at the same time, PCs arrived in our lives, through Pentium models at first and games like Prince of Persia.
My first PC favorite was StarCraft. Oh, boy what a rush that was. I still remember the first moment I saw it, when my friend showed me the Terran campaign. It was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced and it still remains one of the best moments of my life. Heroes of Might & Magic 3, Diablo, Quake, and numerous other games have made my life awesome, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Of course, we’ve all been a part of the MMO trend and the social aspect really enhanced the entire experience, but I still enjoy the old school arcade or two. Now, having somewhat established my gaming credentials, just to let you all know our material comes from years of personal experience, I would like to say that we will continue on this path and hopefully continue to grow. And, this wouldn’t be possible at all without you, our esteemed audience, visiting us and interacting with our stuff. So, thank you from the bottom of our hearts again, this is our living and we owe it all to you! Happy New Year and may happiness, joy, love, and good health always follow you all!
