Bob’s World – Super Adventure mobile game is essentially a mobile upgraded game of Super Mario. It even has the same or pretty similar sound effects. It is an unforgiving fast-paced platformer and side-scroller, which took the Super Mario concept and twisted it around a bit, just to make us even more afraid to play it.
Okay, the game does have its own moments, no doubt. You can say it expands the Mario experience for quite a lot since it has different weapons, effects, animations, and enemies. But, the sound for collecting the coin…when you hear it you’ll know. Bob’s World – Super Adventure is published by OneSoft Global PTE. LTD. and so far it’s out only for Android. However, given the fact that it’s quite the literal spin-off from everyone’s famous plumber, it is surprising how well it’s received. On Google Play, Bob’s World Android has 4.5 stars and it’s mostly positively scored and voted by users.
It is a side-scrolling platformer, end of description. Okay, it is actually an adventure that does bring you back to childhood when Super Mario gave you heart attacks. It even features saving the princess for God’s sake… However, the game offers a wide variety of new mechanics, enemies, super bosses, and it looks and feels very smooth.
The players control Bob and guide him through a mysterious jungle. Since this is a platformer, you naturally jump over, dodge, avoid, and find your way through endless dangers and puzzles. Saving the Princess is your final end-game quest. You eat mushrooms, but also drink potions and other items to get stronger, bigger, and gain ranged attacks to kill the monsters.
Bob’s World – Super Adventure features list:
- Jump and move over obstacles and platforms
- Fire on enemies
- Consume mushrooms, potions, and items to get stronger and bigger
- Collect coins to spend them in the item store
- Beautiful high-res graphics
- Mario-like music and sound effects
- No minimum age limit for the game
- Phone and Tablet Support
- Intuitive and easy-to-learn control system
- Hidden tracks, bonus levels, and other content
- Destroy bricks and blocks, like in Super Mario
- A wide variety of worlds to explore, like the jungle, underwater, and more
Okay, it is a carbon copy of Super Mario, but since everyone’s favorite plumber is not accounted for on Google Play or iTunes App Store, it’s good to have something similar. In all honesty, the game improved on the genre and mechanic. It is a cool game to give to someone who isn’t that much into video games, like your parents, grandparents, significant others, etc…
