A beloved first-person shooter series Call of Duty is finally getting another mobile game which will enter beta this summer. Call of Duty: Mobile will thus join a long list of games that belong to this 16 years old franchise and it will be available for iOS and Android devices.
Previously, Call of Duty: Zombies and its sequel with subtitle Zombies 2 and Call of Duty: Strike Team were available for iOS, while Call of Duty: Heroes was released in 2014 for both Android and iOS platforms. Call of Duty: Mobile was announced a few days ago at the Game Developers Conference and the above trailer was released with the announcement. Although we know that the gameplay will feature story from the Black Ops and Modern Warfare, it’s still unclear which modes exactly will the game offer.
Based on the official page, the game will be free to play and you can pre-register now on Google Play or the website for public beta available this summer. Pre-registration may also bring you some rewards once the game was released and will also keep you updated about its progress. This title will include maps like Nuketown and Crash, weapons, characters and modes that were available across the Call of Duty series.
Call of Duty franchise first focused on the Second World War, but later it included Cold War scenarios, modern warfare, futuristic stories, and space. The series sold in more than 250 million copies worldwide with over $15 billion in revenue, and besides the games, Call of Duty also includes action figures, card games, and comic book series.
