Cyberpunk 2077 is coming soon and it is starring the coolest guy in the world – Keanu Reeves. In fact, Keanu made a surprise appearance on the recent E3 expose and has announced the official release date for Cyberpunk 2077. The trailer revealed much in terms of the game’s appearance and gameplay flow, while Keanu gave the audience an introduction into the storyline setting for the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 release date is April 16, 2020

Keanu revealed what the trailer sets up quite nicely, and that is the fact that the story for Cyberpunk 2077 is set in a technocratic future world, where people are obsessed with implants and mechanical enhancements. The main protagonist seems to be some sort of a smuggler and trader of the enhancement tech and a mercenary outlaw of some kind.

Right at the start, the protagonists are running from what appears to be a successful heist, but one of them is killed in the process. The surviving one is later caught and tortured to return the ‘chip techs’ they stole. He then gives the audience a taste of outstanding combat, but why tell you when we can show you:

The player is then woken up by Keanu Reeves’ character and the rest is all waiting until next year. Keanu appeared on E3, much to everyone’s delight, and he has shown his passion and excitement for this project. He revealed that he has actually been included in the project for quite some time now and that this reveal was obviously well played and timed. The internet reacted to his involvement in the project as you might guess – everyone is super excited and happy.

The game’s Collector’s Edition is also available for pre-order and comes packed with a number of high-quality collectibles. These include a 25 cm /10-inch statue depicting the game’s protagonist — V — in action, a steel book case, a hardcover art book, and more. The Collector’s Edition comes in an impressive box made to look like one of the megabuildings towering over Night City.

So, Cyberpunk 2077 release date is now set and April 16, 2020, isn’t that far. Experts from the triple-A industry are already calling it the hottest project to come and it is expected that Cyberpunk 2077 will color the whole internet in its Yellow colors.
