The time has finally arrived for Nintendo to draw the line and show the world 10 of their best selling games, as part of their latest earnings report. According to the report, the best selling Switch game is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which was sold over 15 million units around the world.
The second place was taken by Super Mario Odyssey, with hefty 13.7 million copies ordered, and on the third place is Super Smash Brothers Ultimate with 12 million copies, despite being available for sale for a less than a month at the time the report was made. It’s worth mentioning that Nintendo made the reports for the first party only games, which means that big party games such as Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and FIFA 19 are excluded from this list.
The fourth place on this list what’s taken by the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, while recently launched Let’s Go, Pikachu/Eevee are already at number 5, despite being sold for only a couple of months.
Considering that Mario Kart 8 was the best selling game on Wii U, the success of its Deluxe iteration it’s even more impressive. Switch version of New Super Mario Bros is about to launch and we will see if it will replicate the success of New Super Mario Bros. U, which was the third best selling game on Wii U.
