PUBG Mobile 0.15.0 Update release date was set for October 16, and that’s today! While Fortnite The End Event opens up a whole new chapter in the Battle Royale extravaganza, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds new update comes with several hot features as well. Mainly, it opens up the new “Survive Till Dawn” Halloween game mode, Payload mode, and several other improvements are being made still.
The Darkest Night is taken offline due to tuning, and today’s maintenance schedule is between 12 am and 7 am UTC. Tencent Games released the details about the upcoming content last week, and they have given us some insight into the innovations on their way. Mainly, the new Payload mode enables players to pilot helicopters and it even allows combat to take place mid-air. Also, another added feature is the Teammate Recall, which enables picking up ID Cards of dead teammates and reviving them back at the Communication Tower.
Naturally, no good update would be complete without new weapons, and PUBG Mobile 0.15.0 brings its fair share. As of today, new guns available include the MGL Grenade Launcher, M79 Grenade Launcher, M3E1-A, RPG-7, and the fabled and iconic M134 Minigun (the title “mini” might not be the most accurate description). Also, you can now call an airstrike on your enemies or use the Vehicles Repair Pack to fix vehicle damage.
Other features include the modified skybox, background objects, colors, and many other Halloween-themed decorations for the Survive Till Dawn Halloween mode. PUBG Mobile rewards are also improved, as the new hostile faction of humans is now added to the game and can be found in abandoned strongholds and factories. Killing zombies also gets you special equipment for bio-warfare, effective against both zombies and regular players.
One of the more important new features this update brings is the Ledge Grab ability, which enables players to climb more easily from one building to another, or between containers. Previously inaccessible places are thus available now for the first time, so we shall see which direction this will go to. Old school FPS fans will also welcome the addition of the cult favorite Desert eagle gun, which traditionally comes with the highest damage output of all handguns, but with the highest muzzle velocity as well. You can now drive the new BRDM-2 Amphibious Armored Vehicle, which is an all-terrain ride suitable for combat. It has bulletproof tires and will be available for all maps.
PUBG Mobile Update 0.15.0 is now officially launched, so you can go and enjoy all its new features if you are a player. You can now leave a spray tag on any object on the map and glasses now have their own separate slot, so it won’t be shared with face masks anymore. Performance is also optimized a bit, graphics improved, and the game is overall tweaked to feel smoother and better. If you update the game anywhere between today and October 22, you will also get 2,000 BP and a Parachute Trail x1.
