Sigma Theory is the newest game made by the French studio Mi-Clos, known for their great game Out There. It’s a tactical team-based game which takes a lot of inspiration from X-COM games. The game takes place in the near future, where scientists made a huge technological breakthrough with the titular codename, Sigma Theory.
You are the leader of your country’s Intelligence Agency, whose goal is to achieve world domination using any means necessary. In order to do that, you have to pick your team out of the 50 agents, each of them with their own strengths and weaknesses, and to guide them during field operations in real-time.
But the spy game is not limited only to the field operations. Sometimes you can trick your rivals during summits, deceiving and stealing other people’s secrets, even betraying them if that suits your plans. The game contains 30 technologies for you to obtain and utilize for world domination.
After some delay, Sigma Theory finally got the release date, and more importantly, the platforms it will be released on. The global release date is 18th April 2019, and the announced platforms are Steam, Windows, Linux, and Mac. Yes, these are all PC platforms, and mobile users were kind of worried until Mi-Clos Studio took to a Reddit comment to reconfirm the mobile version. They also mentioned that the console versions will happen after the PC version is delivered.
If you are impatient to try Sigma Theory, and you can’t wait for mobile or console port, you will have the chance to get your hands on this game when it arrives on April 19th. For everyone else, you don’t have to wait long because the porting process begins after the PC version.
