Trail Boss, a new extreme sports mobile game, has had its launch on August 27th for both iOS and Android. It comes from the creators of Pumped BMX and it falls down in a range category of extreme sports sims for smartphones. However, at first glance, this new title looks advanced and it is marketed by the publisher as a new breed of BMX game, so naturally they sparked some interest in enthusiasts.
Developed by Yeah Us!, Trail Boss is an extreme biking game that really takes the player together with the biker. The first thing that sets it aside from virtually all other SIM games is the player’s point of view. This game boasts a cinematic third-person view that puts the player right behind the biker’s shoulder. This is how the players see the game and also control it. The controls are intuitive and simple, as the touchscreen allows, but they are immersive and lively, as players will swipe the screen to pull off wild stunts and tricky jumps.
This title boasts some 40 handcrafted levels in full 3D which is essential to game mechanics. It has 360 challenges across four beautiful types of environments. It also offers the player with a fully customizable bike. The unique flavor of this game, its vast content, and its dedication to extreme sports phenomena makes it easily the biggest bike game yet, at least for mobile phones.
This title is, as Yeah Us! calls it, the spiritual successor to their previous game Pumped BMX, but it has certainly taken the genre light-years away. Yeah Us! is an indie studio comprised of Mr. Adam Hunt and varying freelancers. Mr. Adam is making BMX games since 2011, and has several titles under his belt, with both Pumped BMX 2 and 3 reaching #1 in over 25 countries. Trail Boss mobile is definitely a game to enjoy, whether you are a fan or not, and it is a pay-once premium title.
