Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite first impressions

Finally, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite mobile AR game is live, but only in the U.S.A. so far. The release date for other countries is not far behind though, with HP fans in the US going crazy right about now. However, while everyone was wondering how the long-awaited AR integration of the Harry Potter magic world will be handled, now we can at least satisfy that thirst.

This Augmented Reality mobile game was announced as a Pokémon Go take on the Worlds of Witchcraft and Wizardry, with it bringing its signature spells, phenomena, and characters to our everyday lives. And, at first glance, the game did not disappoint. Right at the start, the players are greeted by Harry Potter himself, as he is bringing you up to speed with the current calamity disaster development.

Furthermore, and much to everyone’s delight, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite mobile is revealed to have RPG-style gameplay, based on player progression and evolution. You choose a profession, like an auror, animagus, or witch, and you learn skills from different areas of your expertise, like Defense Against The Dark Arts. Also, the game brings signature spells from the HP universe and all of them are also up to the player to learn and improve, such as the Protego Power, Deffendo, and other spells.

The way Harry Potter: Wizards Unite mobile uses AR is that it naturally uses your Smartphone’s camera and the players trace it through the real world to find Harry Potter phenomena and other goodies, like in Pokémon Go. However, this game does so much more to bring extended content to players as you find items, learn stuff, and encounter various events, not even seen in the HP Universe.

The release date for the U.S.A. was yesterday and the game’s beta is already available in Australia and New Zealand. We do expect the rest of the world launch will soon follow. Harry Potter fans, rejoice, stay safe, do not wander into dangerous areas, and take care not to break the Statute of Secrecy!
