It’s official! Jam City decided to surprise all the fans of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery with its latest update. As of today, you will be able to do a special side quest called Fairy Tale. Completing it will unlock Hagrid and add him to your list of friends. However, there is one important thing that needs to be mentioned. In order to complete this side quest, players will need to have their Magizoology at level 2 and they’ll also need to adopt the Fairy. She costs 30 red notebooks, which is no small amount, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to obtain. In fact, most of the players already have her by now, and the new ones should easily be able to save enough of those notebooks to adopt this creature.
It is also worth noting that for now, Hagrid is not available for any of the activities normally doable with your other friends. This might be a bug, or the developers simply need more time to adjust his animations for these activities. After all, he is quite larger than any of your other friends, so he’ll more than likely need some adjustments in order to participate in those activities.
The other possibility is that there will be a completely new and unique way of leveling up Hagrid’s friendship. There are some rumors it could potentially involve doing some side quests or that there will be some unique activities specially designed for him. In any case, we will find out soon enough. For now, it is nice to know that Jam City is listening to fans’ requests and it is definitely a step in the right direction.
