Hello and welcome to our Dress up! Magic Lamp stage 1-5 walkthrough. In this full guide, we will go through the entire story for this stage and include all the gameplay elements, including the outfit we used and how to obtain all the individual clothing items. This story is based on the, of course, familiar Aladin storyline and it is adapted for the game.
It is well-known, but with a twist, adapted to the game, so here the female character is the main one, and other characters are a bit different, albeit quite recognizable to all who know the original story. So far, we’ve met a couple of characters, including Gina, who is the main protagonist and the body Alison currently resides in.
We’ve also met Kahir, a noble who is helping Gina, and Samar, a little girl that knew Gina from before. We’ve met some slavers and, we’ve met Sinbad, the refugees’ great benefactor. However, in the previous stage, we’ve also met an ominous character calling himself simply the Magician.
Sinbad was holding a banquet and was showing off some of his treasures and curiosities from his travels back when he was young. He was showing it to his guests and the Magician. Now, the Magician became particularly interested in an old, rusty, silver necklace he saw among Sinbad’s possessions.
Towards the end of the stage, after the banquet, Gina saw the Magician steal that necklace and leave the mansion. She couldn’t risk calling for guards as she had a feeling this Magician is dangerous and he might harm her before they arrive. Instead, she decided to follow him and stay undetected. Whether or not she will succeed, we shall see in this next stage 1-5.
Magic Lamp stage 1-5 is a pivotal story point, meaning it is a stage that has no specific requirements and offers no crucial rewards you must obtain for later, like blueprints. But, it is still worth a bit to score it with perfect to get all the resource rewards. Now, let’s see what will Gina find out and will she manage to follow the Magician.
Following the magician through the city was not hard for Gina, probably due to many other people being there. But, now they are out. The Magician is going to a place in the desert and Gina is confused about what could he be doing here now. When they are far enough from the city, the Magician turns and speaks to her…
He asks Gina isn’t she Sinbad’s maid and greets her, without surprise, as if he knew she was following all along. Gina is the one who is startled in fact… While she is speechless, the Magician continues to tell her he knows she’s been following him from the marketplace to the desert and he wants to know why…
Gina feels in danger and she probably is, as the Magician clearly lured her here, where there are no people around. Finally, her survival instincts kick in and she tries to feign ignorance. She tells the Magician she is just looking for her cat and thinks she lost it.
She tells him she was looking for its footprints in the sand. Finally, she tells the Magician that maybe the cat has already gone back home so she should go back there to look for it and says “Bye!” But, the Magician tells her to wait…
He takes out the silver amulet he took from the Sibnad’s throve and shows it to her, knowing she was following him because he took it. Gina finally drops her false pretenses and accuses him of being a thief. She demands he returns the treasure!
The Magician says he tried snatching it from Sinbad but failed. He also says that Sinbad doesn’t even know what a treasure he has as this can be used to unlock the cave entrance. Since Gina is already here, the Magician asks if she would help him…
The Magician uses some magical sleeping gas on Gina and she passes out. A little while later, she wakes up, looks around, and realizes she is in a cave. The Magician is there to greet her as she awakes, calling her a brave maid.
His voice rings from the cave opening high above her. As she sees him, Gina shouts and asks the Magician where he brought her and to let her go. The Magician answers that this is the place those navigators spoke of at the banquet, and the palace all adventurers dream of…
This is the hidden cave where the fabled Fourty Thieves hid all the treasures they robbed from the Royal Palace 70 years ago! The Magician says he has searched for this cave for over ten years. IT was difficult to find, only to find out that it was locked and requires a magic key to open it.
Gina tells him that he wanted that silver trinket all along and that is why he was at the banquet in the first place. The Magician admits he had heard that Sinbad has collected countless treasures and he wanted to try his luck.
The silver trinket was the key! Gina tells him that since he’s already found the cave with countless treasures, he won’t need that silver trinket anymore. She demands he returns it and if she gets back safely, she promises she won’t tell anyone about where the cave is.
The Magician doesn’t understand why she says “return it” because the trinket doesn’t belong to Sinbad, he says. If she wants to leave, he continues, all she has to do is to retrieve something from deep inside the cave for him first.
Gina immediately guesses that the reason the Magician won’t retrieve it himself is that the cave is dangerous and he would rather risk her life than his own. He tells her she is a smart little maid indeed and that he is sure she will complete the mission with her nimble hands.
If she finds it he promises to drop the rope down and pull her up. Gina asks him why should she believe him and he tells her she has no choice. It is impossible to climb out of this deep cave without his help. She thinks about what to do and we arrive at our branching choice. Gina can choose to follow the Magician’s instructions or not to trust him. We will go through both choices in our Magic Lamp stage 1-5 walkthrough below.
Follow his instructions
When choosing to do as he says, Gina realizes that she has no other choice but to follow his instructions. She tells him she will do it but asks for him to guarantee he will pull her up afterward. The Magician gives her his word, noting that she has a practical side to her in amusement.
He continues to explain that she will have to go deeper into the cave and find a golden oil lamp. He asks that she brings this lamp back to him. Gina accepts the condition and goes deeper into the cave. She feels her heart pounding.
The cave becomes a maze of narrow corridors. However, Gina can barely see in the dark and has to feel her way around. After a time, she catches a glimpse of orange light at the end of a tunnel.
She follows the light into a huge stone chamber filled with coins, sparkling treasures, and all kinds of artifacts. The coins are scattered all over, colorful gems of all types are piled up in heaps, and, finally, she sees an oil lamp placed on a crystal pillar in the middle of the stone chamber.
It is the oil lamp the Magician spoke of, she is sure. Gina steps on a wooden box filled with agates so she can reach the lamp. However, the very same moment she grabs it, the ground begins to shake violently from a massive earthquake.
The cave starts collapsing and Gina starts running for her life. She runs back the same way she came in, clasping the oil lamp tightly to her chest. She hears a voice from the deep dark saying “Only death awaits stupid, greedy people!”
Gina asks who is talking and the voice replies: “I’m the Guardian of this cave. I’m in charge of guarding the Forty Thieves’ treasure. Those scoundrels died many years ago, but I cannot remove the evil curse they put on me. I am trapped here as their guard. Swallowing up thieves like you is the only fun I have left”
Gina replies that she is not a thief and that she is being forced to do this! Furthermore, the Forty Thieves stole all this from the former Royal Palace first and they are the real thieves! As she tries to reason with the Guardian, Gina still clasps the oil lamp to her chest.
The Guardian laughs that she is willing to die for the lamp and says that there must be a mouse trapped inside that lamp because it kept waking him up. Finally, the Guardian tells Gina that if she takes it, he will be able to sleep peacefully.
Gina asks if she is then free to go and the voice replies that he will let her go if she answers this question correctly. And, here we arrive at a second choice in this stage. We need to answer the riddle correctly, and it is as follows:
There are three possible answers and the correct one is the third one, The Spears of Warriors. If you choose a wrong one, the Guardian will give you a second chance, and if you get that one wrong, he will give you another, so it is easy to get the right one.
After Gina makes her guess, the earthquake stops immediately. The guardian laughs and says he didn’t expect her to have such courage and knowledge. He tells her that when he was a human, hundreds of years ago, he charged enemy lines armed with a spear. Those were the days.
Gina is happy she was right. The Guardian tells her he is in a good mood today so he will let her go. He tells her to take that annoying broken lamp away so he can sleep peacefully and she does so. She leaves unharmed, only shaken up, and brings the oil lamp back to the entrance of the cave, where the Magician is waiting.
The Magician compliments her on coming back and asks for the oil lamp immediately. Gina raises the lamp up high for him to see and tells him to pull her up now. He drops a rope down into the cave and when she grabs it, he starts pulling her up little by little.
When Gina was almost at the top, the Magician stops pulling and asks for her to pass him the oil lamp. Gina hesitates a bit as she suspects some obvious foul play by the Magician. And, we arrive at the third choice in this stage or a second branching path. We will go through both in our Magic Lamp stage 1-5 guide below.
Give him the oil lamp
Gina gives the Magician the oil lamp but he immediately asks where is the gemstone that’s supposed to be on the lamp. He raises his voice and asks Gina if she’s hiding it and, finally, orders her to give it back. Gina is confused and asks what gemstone does he mean. She only found the lamp in the same condition it is now.
The Magician is persistent and shouts at her not to try and fool him. He orders her to return the gemstone or she will be trapped in this cave forever. Gina raises her voice as well and tells him she doesn’t know what he’s talking about. There was nothing on the lamp.
It would appear the lamp is missing a key part, that gemstone. The Magician says that he will find the gemstone on his own. Gina, however, can sit in this cave and wonder if lying to him was worth it, forever.
After he finishes, the Magician lets go of the rope. Gina screams as she falls down back into the deep dark of the cave. Everything becomes dark, but Gina opens her eyes again. She is in the dark, but she can see Moonlight streaming through the cave opening which allows her to see a little bit of her surroundings.
Gina was lucky and has survived, but she does ache abominably. Finally, she manages to look around and discover that the way leading deeper into the cave is now blocked by fallen rocks. The Magician has left long ago and all she hears outside of the cave is the whistling of the night breeze and the howling of wolves.
She wonders if it is her fate to die here. And, this marks the end of this stage and the entire story, after the last choice, for Gina shouldn’t have trusted the obviously shady Magician. The moral of the story is as follows:
Magic Lamp stage 1-5 ending after this choice is the ending of Gina’s whole story. Now, we shall go back and choose the other, obviously right choice, not to trust the Magician and not to give him the lamp, when we are at his mercy. We will also pick the other option in the first branching path as well….

When choosing this, Gina thinks to herself that she must not trust this man. The cave might have other exits and she can look for them. She tells the Magician that she won’t risk her life for him. If he wants to find this treasure he seeks, he should come down here and find it himself.
The Magician says that it is a pity she wants it this way and that, now, he has to leave her here then. When he finds another helper, he continues, he will come back and see if she’s starved to death. Gina thinks again and can’t come to terms with the fact that there really is nothing to do but comply with the demands of this man. Then, we are back at the previous choice, which is the only option…

Refuse to give him the oil lamp
This time, we choose not to give away our only bargaining chip on which Gina’s life depends on. This choice will now cost us the extra 5 stamina. After this choice, Gina hesitates in this situation and realizes it is best to be cautious.
Finally, she asks for the Magician to pull her all the way up before she gives him the lamp. He tells her that her life is in his hands and that she is in no position to negotiate. And, after saying that, the Magician suddenly bends down to grab the lamp from Gina’s hands.
Gina shouts at him to stop and calls him crazy! It comes to a struggle and, in the heat of the moment, Gina lets go of the rope and falls down into the dark of the cave, along with the lamp. And, this marks the end of Magic Lamp stage 1-5 walkthrough, but it is a preferred ending, for she now has the lamp.
